2015 Chevy Silverado gets Custom Sport package

It's been on our mind for a couple of years that the Chevrolet Silverado could really use "a sophisticated monochromatic look." It is, at long last, a reality. Harking back to the Custom Sport Trucks the company produced in the 1960s, the 2015 Custom Sport package can be had in black or white on LT and LTZ models for those in search of "a touch of elegance." That means body-colored front and rear bumpers and grille surround, a black grille, and chrome applied to the door handles, mirror caps, side moldings and 20-inch wheels. The package, which will cost between $1,950 an $2,950, also throws in projector beam headlamps, tow hooks, and heated mirrors. LT trims can be had in black or white, LTZ trims - including Z71 - offer the choice of black or White Diamond Tricoat. The press release below has more information. It should go on sale before the end of 2022. The i7 xDrive60 will be the only variant, with its two motors providing a total of 536 horsepower and 549 pound-feet of torque, and its battery expected to offer a range of about 300 miles. Just like its internal combustion counterpart, this full-size sedan wonÂ’t come cheap, with the i7 starting at $120,295. 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Following the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60, the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 will be the fourth car using Hyundai GroupÂ’s E-GMP electric car architecture.

GM Recalling 370,000 Trucks For Fire Risk

DETROIT (AP) - General Motors is recalling 370,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups from the 2014 model year to fix software that could cause the exhaust components to overheat and start a fire. The recall includes 303,000 trucks in the U.S. and 67,000 in Canada and Mexico. All of the trucks involved have 4.3-liter or 5.3-liter engines. GM said eight fires have been reported, but no injuries. One garage was damaged, the company said. All of the incidents occurred in cold weather. The company is asking customers not to leave their trucks idling unattended. GM dealers will reprogram the software for free. The company will inform owners starting Jan. 16. The major recall announcement, which came on Saturday, marred the Silverado's winning of the 2014 North American Truck of the Year Award at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday.
