I'm offering for sale from my collection a 1992 Chevy Silverado 454SS pickup. There were approximately  1300 in 1992 but very few in Red with the Silver trim interior.

This truck is in amazing condition, its never seen rain and has been a weekend cruise night ride since day one. You'll be hard pressed to find one as perfect as this.
I've owned the truck for 8 years and its original home was Tennessee. The condition is A1. There paint is flawless without a ding or a scratch and has a perfect shine. The seats and carpets are like new. Molding and door seals look factory fresh. And it drives smooth as can be all the while possessing 385 ft. lbs. of torque when needed.
The truck has been lowered 2 inches, cat back exhaust installed, Boyd Coddington 18 inch wheels with new Michelin tires, roll pan in place of rear bumper, cowl induction hood, and I have the factory hood as well. Top of the line Sony in dash stereo with cd and satellite radio with under seat speakers, it rocks.
The truck bed has been upholstered and embossed with the 454SS logo in fabric matching the interior. Aluminum pieces are all around the interior to add looks and the engine compartment has aluminum tanks for fluids and has been detailed to showcase this killer motor.
Earlier trucks like the had the 3 speed Auto transmission, 1992 has the 4 speed overdrive so the truck runs along at highway speed effortlessly.
Some of the factory options include;

Locking differential with 4.10 gears
Engine cooler
Variable ratio power steering
100 Amp Alternator
Base coat- clear coat paint
Gravel anti chip protection
Air conditioning
Power windows and doors
Comfort tilt wheel
High back bucket seats with console
Performance handling package
Sport appearance group
Auxiliary lighting
Tinted glass
Sliding rear window
Anti lock rear brakes
Fuel Injection
Intermittent wipers

I have original window sticker and all the literature and books along with poster and adds from 1992 for the truck. Look close at the photos, its a truck in collectors condition.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why

Sun, 27 Jan 2013

Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.
