The Chevrolet SSR has been discontinued but the love of these truck will never die... The fact that Chevrolet built such an awesome vehicle is just another example of why people all around the world truly love Chevrolet vehicles from the past to the present. This truck is packed with all the goodies but still has the lines of the past. The vehicle is a statement of attitude that shows through out the cockpit to every inch of the interior & exterior. These vehicles are not just about looks though, they actually function as a daily vehicle but also have enough power to do just about anything you could ask of it to do. The engine compartment houses a strong 6.0 390HP V-8 with the American rumble. The bed has enough room to carry all your luggage if a trip is planned or maybe just a few chairs to go to the next car cruise. Either way, there will always be a fun destination for you and your Hot Rod SSR.

Condtion
The vehicle has been owned by a employee of Chevrolet fro several years. The employee has kept this vehicle in a climate controlled garage since the day he took it home. The vehicle has never been smoked in or driven recklessly or used to haul anything. This was a weekend vehicle for nice days in the country where he lived here in Missouri. I have looked all over the vehicle and have seen no damage. There is no issues or lights on the dash, the vehicle even has the new vehicle smell present. With just 13,000 miles it about as new as you'll ever find. The vehicle does come with several extras if you where wondering in the pictures what all the boxes where in the bed. The previous owner had a interior door handle brake when he first received the vehicle. He was worried one may break again which never did but for insurance, he bought a few for the future in the result they where not available later on. He also bought a few wiper arms complete with wipers because he was told those could be hard to find years later. The other things you see in the pictures located in the bed are a windscreen, a removable trailer hitch and several pieces of literature from GM and from the local dealership. Some of which where never available to the public.
As you look as this vehicle you will notice how pristine this vehicle has been kept and how detailed the owner was to make sure it was kept the way it was from the factory.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

5 reasons why GM is cutting jobs, closing plants in a healthy economy

Tue, Nov 27 2018

DETROIT — Even though unemployment is low, the economy is growing and U.S. auto sales are near historic highs, General Motors is cutting thousands of jobs in a major restructuring aimed at generating cash to spend on innovation. It's the new reality for automakers that are faced with the present cost of designing gas-powered cars and trucks that appeal to buyers now while at the same time preparing for a future world of electric and autonomous vehicles. GM announced Monday that it will cut as many as 14,000 workers in North America and put five plants up for possible closure as it abandons many of its car models and restructures to focus more on autonomous and electric vehicles. The reductions could amount to as much as 8 percent of GM's global workforce of 180,000 employees. The cuts mark GM's first major downsizing since shedding thousands of jobs in the Great Recession. The company also said it will stop operating two additional factories outside North America by the end of next year. The move to make GM get leaner before the next downturn likely will be followed by Ford Motor Co., which also has struggled to keep one foot in the present and another in an ambiguous future of new mobility. Ford has been slower to react, but says it will lay off an unspecified number of white-collar workers as it exits much of the car market in favor of trucks and SUVs, some of them powered by batteries. Here's a rundown of the reasons behind the cuts: Coding, not combustion CEO Mary Barra said as cars and trucks become more complex, GM will need more computer coders but fewer engineers who work on internal combustion engines. "The vehicle has become much more software-oriented" with millions of lines of code, she said. "We still need many technical resources in the company." Shedding sedans The restructuring also reflects changing North American auto markets as manufacturers continue to shift away from cars toward SUVs and trucks. In October, almost 65 percent of new vehicles sold in the U.S. were trucks or SUVs. That figure was about 50 percent cars just five years ago. GM is shedding cars largely because it doesn't make money on them, Citi analyst Itay Michaeli wrote in a note to investors. "We estimate sedans operate at a significant loss, hence the need for classic restructuring," he wrote. The reduction includes about 8,000 white-collar employees, or 15 percent of GM's North American white-collar workforce. Some will take buyouts while others will be laid off.
