2001 Chevrolet S10 Air Bagged Custom Paint Air Brushed Ride Low Rider Mini on 2040-cars
Bassett, Virginia, United States
Here is a beautiful customized S10 that turns heads everywhere. Will definitely get you noticed with its custom paint and air ride suspension. It still has the factory 2.2L with only 86k original miles, with an automatic transmission. The custom paint was professionally done and with attention to detail as the paint scheme runs through the door jams, behind the cab and wraps around the front of the bed. All is painted and cleared...not a vinyl wrap. The paint is house of kolor mother of pearl. The air ride suspension is a simple set up...doesn't do side to side. Just two switches, front up and down, rear up and down. It has new 3/8" FMC valves with new fittings and relays. Has air gauge mounted inside so you can safely adjust ride height while in motion. Replaced the S10 front clip with the GMC Sonoma front clip as its more stylish. It has 18" wheels with brand new rubber on the rear. The front tires will need replaced soon. The wheels are not perfect...has some pitting issues in the chrome. The interior is fully customized with black tweed and a custom sound system with 2 8" JL Audio Subs pushed by an Alpine amp located behind the seat and was professionally made and installed. It has a sliding rag top that does not leak. The tailgate handle has been shaved and relocated to the inside. It has a flush mounted fiberglass tonneau cover still in the factory color. Can be painted if you desire to do so. The truck still has air condition and heat. The tailgate where it has the s10 air brushed on it has some stress cracking there as you can see in the picture and the drivers seat has one small hole in the tweed. I have more pics that I can send showing the suspension at its highest level. I can deliver to the east coast region but that has to be discussed before the auction ends and at an agreed upon price. Otherwise, the buyer is responsible for pickup. $250 Non Refundable deposit required within 48 hours after auction ends. Starting bid is $6000 and you cant build this truck no where near that price so happy bidding! |

Crash victim found still inside car 6 hours after it was towed away [w/video]
Wed, Jan 7 2015Police near Dayton, OH, have quite a confusing case on their hands after the victim of a crash early on New Year's Day couldn't initially be found. Six hours later, the man was discovered lying on the vehicle's floorboard at the tow yard. The unidentified person was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition with possible leg injuries. The police first responded to the scene of the crash around 3:00 am on New Year's Day when a Chevrolet Impala hit a utility pole and drove through a fence, according to WHIO News. The authorities claim that they searched for the man for an hour and a half and came up with nothing. The car was then hauled away to the yard, which was only about 500 feet away. The tow yard worker found the man around 9:00 am and called 911. However, he was clearly dubious about the injured man's predicament and suggested to the operator that he might have returned to the Impala. Police are still investigating the incident. According to WHIO, authorities might have somehow missed the man in the sedan during the search. Alternatively, he could have left the scene of the accident and later returned. Watch the video below for more about this bizarre case. The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience. Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
