You are looking at one of the few nice, solid, and original square body S-10s left out there. Most have been cut up, lowered, or had a V8 crammed in them and run to death. This has been an unaltered southern truck it's whole life and the body really reflects it. It is also an original bucket seat console truck with all exterior trim color coded, no chrome at all, which is all together rare. All these options and in the best color combo available, probably never find a truck like this again. Below is a brief description:

Exterior: The truck wears her original paint, all except the driver's fender which has had a spot refinish done some time long ago. The paint is not chalky, although faded, it is very presentable waxed up. I recently installed new door bushings, so the doors are tight and don't droop. Has a good windshield and the rear glass is a slider. Bed appears to have had a plastic liner in it since new, some surface rust under the edges, but no gaudy spray in liner hiding dents or holes. Driver's door has a few dents, other than that and a few minor blemishes, the body is rust free and straight to be 21 years old. Rockers, cab corners, floors, rust free as in pics. Tires a very good, wheels are not beat up.

Interior: I think this is the best part. Besides a few cracks in the dash, which we all know, happens to the trucks early in their lives, the insides are great. New headliner last week, carpet is original and nice. Door panels clean as well. Seat's cloth has no tears or rips and is still firm. Sits awesome. Console has a blemish in the lid, but is not broken or loose. The interior looks like it should, not abused. Heat is hot, a/c is cold, everything inside works as it should.

Drivetrain: 4.3 Liter v6 powers the truck, backed by an overdrive transmission. I was told the 93's had a much better tranny than the older ones. It shifts nice and strong. The engine runs flawlessly as well, I have owned many of the 90's Chevy v6 engines, they never let me down no matter the mileage. I just spent $500 on front end components to make this baby drive as good as she looks. All ball joints, control arm bushings, alignment, etc. Anything they saw needed, done. Oil changed, she is clean and ready to roll.

In closing, you will be hard pressed to find another older S-10 even remotely this solid and straight, let alone with these options. This is just a nice, original, rare find that is all there with no modifications. If you have a feedback score of 10 or less or a negative rating, please email before bidding or it will be canceled. Sorry, I have had problems with this often. Inspections are welcome, but please check my feedback, I describe my vehicles accurately and the buyers are always pleased. Email with any questions and thanks for looking.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.

Sinkhole Opens Up In National Corvette Museum, Swallows Eight Cars

Wed, Feb 12 2014

More cars are being moved inside the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. to avoid falling down the same sinkhole that swallowed eight classic sports cars early this morning, Autoblog reported. Museum officials said the hole was discovered when motion sensors activated around 5:45 a.m. The rescue mission can be viewed on the museum's live feed cameras, which weren't working after the sinkhole emerged. A 1993 ZR-1 Spyder and a 2009 ZR1 "Blue Devil," both on loan from General Motors, were among the cars that fell into the sinkhole. The museum owned the other affected Corvettes, which included a 1963 Corvette, a 1984 PPG Pace Car and the 1 millionth Corvette ever produced. The state of the cars at the bottom of the hole isn't known, but trial lawyer and sinkhole expert Ted Corless said the cars may be a total loss for the museum and GM. "Most states, including Kentucky, exclude damage caused by sinkhole activity," he said. "There will be, in all likelihood, a claim made, but a lot of policies would specifically exclude these kinds of damages." Corless has 15 years experience dealing with sinkholes. He said that typically neither the building, nor the cars themselves are protected under their insurance policies. "I would have to say, more likely then not, they're going to have an uninsured loss measured in the hundreds of thousands of dollars." The museum is closed Wednesday while a structural engineer assesses the damage. GM says hybrid Corvette no laughing matter [w/poll]

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

When Mark Reuss was in LA recently, he sat down to have a few words with the scribes at the Los Angeles Times. When the issue of a hybrid Corvette came up, Reuss answered with "Don't laugh." The General Motors president is a complete fan of the possibility, calling it "attractive" and "really fun," believing it would improve GM expertise and that "people would love it."
Naturally, the president being supportive of an idea doesn't give indication that a hybrid Corvette is on the way. However, with supercars like the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari giving hybrid tech a solid, if remote, place in the performance car world, the inexorable trickle-down of technology means we shouldn't be surprised if and when it does happen.
And now that we have that non-negative half-answer to a speculative question, it would be irresponsible for us not to commence rumormilling for the C8 Corvette. Taking Reuss at his word, the C8 will obviously be a hybrid with all-wheel-drive - the left side wheels driven with electric motors, the right side with the mid-mounted, four-cylinder diesel engine. With coefficient of drag of just .16, figure on a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of under 2 seconds and an all-electric range of something like 30 miles at top speed. Don't forget, folks, you read it here first.
