I have owned this S10 for 1 1/2 years now. I bought this truck because it had a good running  355 in it. This truck still has a South Carolina Tittle. This truck is a Project Truck. The motor is Brand New. My cousin builds race engines and he built this one for me, All I did was buy the parts. This is a 2 bolt main SBC 350 that is bored 30 over. This motor has Hypertectic Forged Flat top Pistons 4 Valve Relief. I beam Rods, Scat Crank . This motor has Clevite H series Rod, Main and Cam bearings.  Billet Alum. Alternator Brackets. Weiand Water Pump,  New Alternator with New Billet Alum Chevy Power Valve Covers. This motor has a Edelbrock  Performer Fuel Pump and a Holley 750 Double Pumper Carb. The intake is a Weiand Team G. All the engine fasteners and rod and main bolts are all ARP. New High Perf. Balencer and timing pointer. The cam is a Lunatti Bracket master II Cam & Lifter Kit.  It has .300 Dur. and .515 Lift. RPM range is 2500 - 6500 RPM.  It also has Hardened Chromoly Pushrods with 1.6 Ration Roller Roickers wich makes the lift of the cam .548 Lift. The motor only has ran approx. 30 min. of run time on it, just to brake the cam in.  My whiole plan for this truck was to make it into a test and tune drag truck toy but ran out of money and out of time. This truck has No carpet and No seat in it. I've got the original seat for it.  We put a New B&M Mega shifter in it and a New %" AutoGuage Monster tach. All oil presher and engine temp gauges are new.  The truck itself only has approx. 69k on it. The trans was rebuilt around 3 years ago. It is a th350 turbo automatic tranny. I have a New TCI Filter and gasket for this tranny. The pan gasket dry rotted a little bit from sitting and is leaking a little bit, that's why I bought the new filter and gasket.  It has New 40 Series Flowmaster mufflers.  This distributor is a Petronix $300 Race Distributor.  It has a Hughes 3500 Stahl Converter.  This truck has BluePrint Engines Billet Aluminum Cylinder Heads with 195 ccRunners , 64cc Combustion chambers, 2.02 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust valves. The heads are Brand new also. Lots of money invested into this project just ran out of money and i do not have anywhere to store this truck. This truck is not perfect but it is in Very Good condition for being 30yo. Body is in really good shape. This truck needs a throttle cable installed. The rear end has 4:10 gears in it. I have a new battery relocation kit wich includes a battery box and all the thick guage wire and connections that comes with this truck. I also have a set of Brand new Tail lights for this truck still in the package. This truck also has a brand new dual core Aluminum radiator and Aluminum overflow can and a new Electric fan.  The inner wheel wells are not in the truck. This truck needs a Big battery to turn it over. Thios truck does not come with a battery so if u want to look at it please bring a heavy duty battery.  This is a project truck.  The motor is very strong and brand new. I have over $4,000 just in parts receipts for this truck. The price is NEGOTIABLE. I really need to sell this truck. Don't hesitiate to ask any questions that u might have.  If u would like to come and see this truck please message me so we can make arrangements. I am listing this truck as - is with no warranty.  CASH TALKS so don't be afraid to make an offer but please NO lowballing.  All receipts go with this truck and some parts that I have also. I am not sure if the miles are accurate but the odometer states approx. 69k.  But body is very good condition.  The floors are very solid with only a little surface rust that u can see in the pictures.  This truck will need to be towed due to no throttle cable and no seats.

Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1

Wed, Aug 20 2014

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party. Fullsize GM SUVs have a problem that's making owners sick

Thu, Dec 31 2015

Some fullsize SUV owners are getting sick, thanks to a buffeting and vibration problem in 2015 model year examples of the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, and GMC Yukon. According to owners' complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue can vary from an annoying vibration inside the cabin to an experience so severe that it leads to dizziness and headaches. General Motors is aware of the complaints, but the fix isn't so simple. According to spokesperson Tom Wilkinson to Autoblog, the company "has been tracking this issue for a while." The problem has a fairly low incidence rate, but when it does occur the issue can be "uncomfortable and annoying for owners." There's no precise cause for the issue, Wilkinson claims, and in some cases, simply balancing the tires or changing the door seals can make it go away. However, not all of the fixes are so simple. AutoGuide dug deep into the problem and discovered a GM preliminary information bulletin that advised dealers to remove the headliner and to check the roof's bonds to the bows that go across the vehicle. However, that document included a note that the solution might not entirely eliminate things. According to AutoGuide, adding Dynamat insulation to the roof sometimes helped the problem. A GM spokesperson also told AutoGuide the company fixed the problem at the end of the 2015 model year, and didn't go into any more detail. This roof issue seems linked to some of the worst droning in these SUVs. According to one complaint from a 2015 Suburban owner to NHTSA: "Roof will not remain attached to the roof bows. This causes the buffeting similar to a window being down when all are up. The results span from annoying to painful." A 2015 Yukon owner claims to have another alleged cause for the problem in a NHTSA complaint from February 2015. This person brought their SUV to the dealer seven times over the course of four weeks for vibrations. The dealer replaced the driveshaft, suspension components, and more, but nothing worked. According to an engineer to the service adviser: "In an effort to prevent roll overs, they designed the frame and body mounts too stiff. There are 40 engineers working on issues, they have no solutions that work across the board." Wilkinson told Autoblog that GM is working with customers on an individual basis to rectify things. Since these are newer vehicles, dealers should also fix the problem under warranty.

MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

Sat, Jun 20 2015

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
