Original Minnesota farm truck.  1954 Chevrolet 3600 Advance Design Pickup.

Harder to find model of the AD trucks, style change in '54 & only continued until early 1955.

(1954 & 1955 1st series).

Sixty year old truck and looks to have most all of the original paint with a few areas

of different color paint someone has applied over the years(spot on driver side fender &

some areas on the inside of bed.  Has some good and the usual bad things about it.

-Truck is not all cut up. Original interior paint and at least 95% Original exterior Paint.

Original chalk marks from factory still on firewall in engine bay(see picture).

-Has nice patina but does have dents/dings/tears, surface rust and some rust through areas.

Nice original chrome grille, solid doors, complete dash, good bedsides & tailgate, 4 original

hub caps, spare tire holder with spare wheel & tire. and has all the original trim emblems.

-Cab looks ok, is complete with original paint & is not cut up. Floors look fairly solid, maybe

a few small floor holes. There is rust through on driver side lower cowl/door hinge pillar and

to floor. Drivers side lower door hinge/pillar area is rusted out & will need replaced(see pictures).

Driver side front fender to cowl area is rusted out where it attaches to cowl. The door does

not close properly because of this. Rust out on driver side cab corner, pass. side has rust also

but not as bad. Rust on top firewall corners under hood(see pictures), rust on cab sheet metal

behind the hood cowl vent(see pictures). Running boards have rust through & dents(see pictures),

front bed panel is rusted out in bed(see pictures). Rust hole driver side fender lip(see pictures).

-I've pictured the worst rust through areas, please ZOOM in on in pictures-

-Passenger inside lower cowl/kick panel area has been covered with sheet metal.

-Windshield & rear window glass look good. Side glass is broke/cracked on pass. side, the

driver side door glass is missing. Wing window glass is rough. Seat has a tear on driver side.

-Has what I believe to be original 235 engine and trans. Actual mileage is unknown.

(I have not tried to free the engine, it does have oil).

Engine is NOT running. Brakes & clutch do NOT work. This is a NON running vehicle.

Truck will need to be Pushed Pulled or Winched on to Your Trailer.

-Original chrome grille looks very good and is not all dented. It does have some smaller

ripples & a few dings but is a very nice original with both turn signal/parking lights.

-Does NOT have a front bumper. Rear bumper is very rusty and rough as shown.

-All 5 tires are bad but do hold some air.

-Has metal in bed floor.  Front bed panel is rusted out(see pictures).

-Passenger side spring is broke at shackle.

-Title is free and clear and matches the VIN.  Ask any questions

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

North American Car, Truck and SUV of the Year finalists revealed

Thu, Nov 17 2022

The finalists for the 2023 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year Awards were announced Thursday at the L.A. Auto Show. — The Acura Integra, Genesis Electrified G80 and Nissan Z made the cut in the car category. — The Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevy Silverado ZR2 and Lordstown Endurance advanced in trucks. — And the Cadillac Lyriq, Genesis GV60 and Kia EV6 advanced among utilities.  The winners will be announced Jan. 11 in Detroit.  The finalists underscored the industryÂ’s shift to electric vehicles, as all three utilities and two of the three trucks are EVs. The finalists were culled from a list of 26 semifinalists made up of three trucks, 10 cars and 16 utility vehicles that are new this year.  Notables that missed the cut include the Mercedes EQE, Subaru WRX and Toyota GR Corolla in cars; while the Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage and Rivian R1S were among the utes that did not advance. The three trucks are the only ones eligible this year and have advanced through the voting.  50 jurors who work for media outlets across North America vote three times over the course of the year to whittle down the field, which was originally 47 vehicles. Jurors also test the semifinalists at an October group event in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Honda Civic (car), Ford Maverick (truck) and Ford Bronco (utility vehicle) were the 2022 winners. AMC Trans Am Javelin SST, an ultra-rare underdog, is up for auction

Sat, Sep 9 2023

Among the rarest of the American muscle cars that went racing in the early Seventies — cars including the Camaro Z/28 and the Boss 302 Mustang — the 1970 AMC Trans Am Javelin SST may be the most hard to find, and among the most valuable. Only 100 units of this unique Javelin were produced, and one of them is up for auction at the Mecum event in Dallas on September 20. The Trans Am Javelin was fashioned in a patriotic livery of tricolor paint — red, white and blue — and arrived after the American Motors Corporation had decided in 1968 to compete in the Trans Am racing series against Ford and General Motors. The company's chief driver, Mark Donohue, would dominate the 1971 season, taking seven wins in his Javelin AMX and that yearÂ’s SCCA Trans-Am Championship. AMC took the trophy with 82 points, well ahead of Ford's 61, Chevrolet's 17 and Pontiac's paltry 7. The example listed for auction came equipped with a 390-cubic-inch V-8 engine with 325 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque, power steering and brakes, dual exhaust, BorgWarner four-speed manual transmission and Hurst competition shifter. Its “ram induction system” sealed a chamber around the air filter so that cool air from the functional hood scoop would be funneled into the intake. This JavÂ’s factory price was $3,995 — a mere $32,000 or so in today's money, though it was expensive by the standards of the time. The 100 Trans Ams were among 19,714 Javelin units built in 1970, so they started out rare, and today the surviving examples are highly collectible, if and when they come up for sale. No bid estimate is available yet. Related Video: Motorsports Chevrolet Ford Pontiac Auctions Automotive History Racing Vehicles Classics
