Up forsale my 1976 4x4 Chevy pickup, with a roll cage, a chrome roll bar, 35 inch mud tires, a 6 in suspention lift, aluminum race cell in box, monster tack with oil, coolant, guages built in & shift lite. It has a 454 ci v8 with a Demon carb, Edlebrock aluminum intake, Hedman headers, stainless dual exhuast, with flowmasters, aluminum valve covers, chrome aircleaner. The engine is pretty clean, the turbo 350 trans was rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago by a previous owner and has a 2000 rpm b&m stall converter. The tires are 35x 12.50 x15 Kelly Safari MSR's they have real nice tred, half inch deep I'd say, not much cupping & don't rumble surprisingly quiet, think they are a radial not old bias ply. The body has been repainted but has very little rust, mostly just the cab corners, there is some small bubbles on one side of the box, both shown in pictures, the rockers I think are original not welded patch panels. The radiator support has a small rust hole but you can't see it anyway. The under side of the body still had the original paint on it, "shinny". The frame has no pit rusting or scale, just some under coating that looks like rust in the pictures. The steel brake lines are mostly original,no rust. The whole front clip has been changed to the 80's style, the interior is mostly changed to 80's style also. The roll cage is bolted to the floor in the cab, pretty cool, but the window cranks rub on it so it's a little harder to roll the windows down. The windows are tinted, not perfect, but still nice. The dash has cracks. The front brakes just had new rotors and pads and seem's to stop good. The steering is pretty good but has some play due to the lift. I think the ball joint's were replaced and all the u joint's, they look too nice to be original. The 4 wheel drive works good, trans case is tricky to get into 2 wheel hi but shifts still, might be becuase of the lift? The horn, air conditioner, emergency brake, and fuel guage don't work, blinker won't cancle to the left I think, high/low headlite switch isn't working, only two fog lites are wired on roll bar, others work but need a separate switch, wipers are on a toggle switch & the heater motor. I'm not sure of the actuall mileage, odometer reads 71,*** but may not be actuall! JVC cd player works needs some speakers. I have a stock gas tank if you want it. I'm sure I'm forgeting something, but if your interested give me a call if you need to know anything. phone # 1-608-669-8556 Vehical comes with no warranty. Local Pick up only I won't ship, vehical must be paid for in cash, with a $500 deposit at end of auction. Deposit can be through paypal. Full payment within 7 days if in person unless we arrange something different.

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?
