tons of photos below...but PLEASE take time to read the following...
the truck is a strong running, reliable, complete, turn-key driver...ready to cruise, burn-out, show, & bar hop.
it has a pumped up big block 70's chevy 454 motor that runs great and starts without problem.
new high crank battery, 2 gauge wiring, & Jegs race starter handle the hottest starts and an aluminum radiator w/custom fan & shroud combo help cool it.
it's my dependable daily driver...take it from san jose to sacramento and back without problem...choke works great for cold starts.
it has headers, a big cam, 454 high flow intake...great sound & lopey idle w/small glass pack turn down exhaust.
it has a 3-speed turbo 400 automatic transmission from a 70's truck as well...it was just flushed & sealed up 1k miles ago.
has super tall lokar floor shifter w/boot & polished knob...it's paired with a chrome spoon gas pedal.
has a low mile camaro 12-bolt rearend w/411 gearing and POSI-traction also flushed & sealed 1k miles ago
...the combo is scary. it's a real balls to the wall hot rod...easy to light up.
engine bay is matte black and nothing special...
it's shaved & nosed...all trim, handles, mirrors, fuel filler, etc...
no door poppers...reach in thru the vent windows and open...
it's actual flat red paint, in great shape with gloss white accents on cab, grill, and flipped front bumper. (gives a lower/frown look)
body is super straight and smooth. frame is true...the matte finish, natural body lines, and smoothness from the shave are killer.
the running light lenses have been painted white as well....the headlights are yellow glass and it has bluedot tear drop tailights.
truck has no turn signals or mirrors.
custom gloss red & white 1-shot by Lefty out of Sacramento on hood and back fenders.
paint matched steel visor and louvered roll pan finish off the look.
bed walls are also paint matched and the custom lifted bed itself was just refinished (actual tongue & groove flooring) to resemble an old saloon bar top.
the running boards are a bit beat up from normal life as a truck, as are the bed walls and tailgate, but nothing crazy.
it has a show look, but still a driver and usable truck...it's damn sure not a garage queen. and NO it is NOT a rat rod!!!
some small rush spots in the normal areas (wheel wells/door sills) but for me, not worth messing with on this style truck.
both doors and hood have rubber stops & spacers in place with fresh cowl seal and door jams.
no wipers or motor...has paint matched bolt deletes for smooth clean look.
interior was fully gone thru and completed about 2k miles ago.
gloss black cab, running boards, and door jams were fully resprayed.
all new green side glass, rubbers, guides, vent seals, and even fuzzies.
the original clear glass gangster window has real metal venetian blinds mounted in the OG creme color.
brand new green glass windshield w/shade & new gasket.
authentic serape mexican blanket custom upholstery. it's a truly wrapped bench seat w/custom made matching door cards.
brand new molded black loop carpet kit was installed as well.
aftermarket gauge cluster was painted wrinkle black as was the window trim and door cards.
all gauges works (oil/water/volts/fuel AND speedo) and are backlit...along with working interior dome light, headlights, rear running lights, and brake lights.
no horn and no stereo...no heater or A/C
new interior visors & chrome hardware, handles, gauge bezel, steering wheel, rocket knobs, traffic viewer, rearview mirror, glove box, hardware, etc.
original key cylinder for ignition AND glove box match..
the roulette table felt headliner is a big hit, as is the tall boy PBR can horn filler...
the suspension is the last big portion of the truck and where most of the money was spent.
first off is has a brand new set of 15" chrome steelies w/chrome baby moons...
they were just wrapped with fresh coker classic bias ply L78's, their largest tire w/a true 4" whitewall...they really pop.
they are ~29.5" tires so it also helps with freeway speeds, helping mellow out the 411 gearing a bit.
full front & back drum brake job, with upgraded camaro rear drums w/powdercoated backing plates & new wheel cylinders all around.
new brake lines as well with a flush 1k miles ago.
up front there is an oldschool mor-drop 6" stretched front axle paired with mono leaf springs to get it sitting right.
all new tie rod ends, bushings, kingpins, etc...the original steering box was also rebuilt.
the rear frame was c-notched (why the bed was lifted) and was slammed down with mono leafs in back too...
the truck is dead nuts level, w/custom rear shackles to nail it even...this was an important look for me; no rake, no sag.
the shocks were repositioned to get the most out of their travel...it rides exceptionally smooth & very straight considering its oldschool, straight axle nature.
the steering geometry was adjusted best it can be with great improvement from the initial modification.
the turning radius is less than desirable as a result to the slammed stance paired with a much taller/wider tires but it is what it is...drive her everywhere without issue.

Face it. If you own a luxury or sports car, whenever you hand the keys to a valet, you imagine the car going on a high-speed joyride like the Ferrari in the 1980s cult movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Now, General Motors has an option on the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette that takes those worries away. The latest version of the sports car, due out in September, has a feature that records where the car goes with a camera mounted in the windshield trim. It also captures audio in the cabin as well as speed, engine revolutions per minute, gear position and G-force. That all helps the car tattle on any valet who doesn't take a slow, direct route to a parking space. GM says it's the most extensive attempt by an automaker to thwart valet joyriders, although it's not the first. The automotive website Edmunds.com says Hyundai and Mercedes offer "geofencing," a feature that sets a perimeter and then notifies the owner's smart phone if a car goes beyond it. Chrysler has a valet mode that caps engine speed and horsepower, while Audi lets owners limit engine speed for valets. With the Corvette, once the owner activates the feature with a four-digit code, the touch screen tells the driver it's in Valet Mode. But it doesn't warn the valet that he's being recorded. The feature also locks the glove box and a storage compartment in the dashboard and shuts down the infotainment system. Valet Mode started off as a performance data recorder for those who take their Corvettes on the racetrack. GM engineers quickly figured out that it had more uses. "Think of it as a baby monitor for your car," Corvette Product Manager Harlan Charles said in a statement. "Anyone who has felt apprehension about handing over their keys will appreciate the peace of mind of knowing exactly what happened while their baby was out of sight." Data and video from the valet mode can be viewed instantly by the owner on the car's 8-inch color screen when the car is parked, or it can be downloaded to a computer. The system could go into more mainstream models if feedback is good on the Corvette, GM spokesman Monte Doran said. The feature is paired with a navigation system and costs $1,795. A 2015 Corvette starts at just under $54,000. Chevrolet Technology Gadgets

These two trucks are famous for their ability to get the job done. Still, even the toughest vehicle can have mechanical problems at some time. What if we match the Dodge Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado head to head? Let's find out more about common repairs for each model. Also, learn some tricks to pay for car repairs. Clunky Steering Both Dodge and the Chevy owners sometimes notice bumping and clunking when steering. This might be more noticeable when driving over bumps. The cause is usually different in each truck though. In the Dodge Ram, clunky steering is more likely due to a defective lower ball joint. Replacement costs around $300 - $400, parts and labor. Clunky Chevy Silverado steering is probably a steering rack failure. This problem appears more often in trucks with over 90,000 miles. Silverado steering rack repair will run you up to $1,000 or more. Starting Woes For the Chevy Silverado with over 130,000 miles, you might notice trouble starting. This problem may appear occasionally at first, but it typically gets worse. Excluding a weak battery, the culprit is usually the starter. Replacement will cost you around $330 - $500. Of the total cost, $90 is for labor only. Now the Dodge Ram might make a ticking sound when starting, especially on models with over 94,500 miles. The noise often disappears after the engine warms up. These symptoms may indicate a broken exhaust manifold. Repair costs range from $800 - $900. Burning Oil & Gas Gauge On The Blink Sometimes, the Dodge Ram burns oil much faster than normal. In models with over 125,000 miles, this often points towards a leaky intake manifold gasket. A knocking sound may also appear with acceleration along with possible engine misfire. The cost to repair is around $200 - $300. The Chevy Silverado has its own surprises, especially when you've filled the gas tank but the gauge still reads low. Or the needle fluctuates widely from low to full while driving. In trucks with over 120,000 miles, it's likely due to a faulty fuel sensor. You might need a full fuel pump replacement, which can cost you up to $820, parts and labor. Water Inside And Poor Heat The Ram 1500 rear window has been known to leak. You might notice the back seat and floor wet after a rainstorm. This is more common in trucks with over 65,000 miles. Resealing the Ram 1500 rear window costs around $150 - $250.
