This truck was custom ordered from the factory in 1977 and delivered in July of 1978. The former owner bought it from the original owner ten years ago, had it repainted four years ago, had the transmission and engine completely rebuilt 3 years ago, and was having the interior redone when the man working on it passed away. The engine does need some cleaning. It is still "Corporate Blue". The paint is closer to factory than most factory paint jobs, and I have all the original trim excluding one of the interior Silverado Custom door bezels. The former owner had to leave after the rebuilt, and it wound up sitting for two years with brand new tires and less than 100 miles on the rebuilt. The former owner put a Tomco remanned Rochester equipped Quadrajet Carburetor. It has gotten a brand new starter, a new Wix Fuel Filter and air filter and a brand new Airtex (by Federal Mogul) fuel pump. The only aftermarket modifications the former owner made include a new hood, a Rhino-Liner bed liner, a billet aluminum grill, a GM approved heavier duty tailgate, bucket seats, chrome bed caps, beauty rings and a red and black bowtie hold down on the brether.

The cons are that the interior never got finished, the former owner kept all but one piece of the trim, which means it needs a headliner and carpet. It needs driven. The hood needs to be reinforced on the driver side and the paint has a few minor scratches. No rust. The pick-up was always driven in Arkansas. The A/C is not installed, but is in the cabin.

The truck needs some TLC and above described interior parts need to be installed.

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.

Chevy working on production Impala Midnight Edition

Sat, Dec 13 2014

To put together the Impala Blackout concept for SEMA, Chevrolet didn't need to go much further than its accessories catalog. The in-house connection is what could make it possible for Chevy to get a production version of the Blackout into dealers this model year, with its few bits of chrome trim and dark detailing on the 19-inch aluminum wheels set into an abyss of gloss black paint, black Bowtie, grille surround, rear spoiler and mirror caps. The interior is black leather, with stainless steel for the sill plates and pedals, and an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and it gets the optional 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6. The brand's marketing director for cars and crossovers, Steve Majoros, told Edmunds that it could come in late spring, and that it will be called "Midnight Edition." Majoros didn't give any indication of pricing or if the production car will be spec'd out like the concept. If you simply don't want to wait for late spring, you could work your DIY mojo by putting one together the same way Chevrolet did: give the accessories catalog a workout. Related Video:

Is this '47 Chevrolet a rat rod or a sports car?

Sun, May 22 2016

These days there are plenty of vehicles that blur the conventional automotive class structures. For instance, was the Honda Crosstour a wagon or an SUV? And what exactly was the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet? Regardless, those line-blurring cars (or trucks) are out there, and though this one didn't roll off a production line, it's still quite the automotive head-scratcher. Hailing from Missouri, this epic creation is one part mad science experiment, one part 1947 Chevrolet pickup, and one part '95 Mercury Cougar. Add it all up and you get an awesome truck-sports-car hybrid, complete with an outrageous wing and a V8 to boot. And interestingly enough, it's up for sale . RELATED: Check out this Wild-Styled Lamborghini Rat Rod So how does it all come together? According to the listing, the Chevrolet truck cab (which had previously been chopped) was sanded down to bare metal and given a thorough shellacking of clear coat. It was then melded together with the front end of a 1995 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, and set low to the ground on Bilstein suspension drop spindles. Stance achieved. But instead of fielding an engine from either of those pickups, it pulls its heart from a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV—a big 5.3-liter V8 heart, that is. It comes backed-up to a GM Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Towards the rear however is where things get really interesting. A Copper Pearl coated tube frame chassis both attaches the rear independent suspension (a la Mercury Cougar) to the racy spoiler, as well as secures the rat rod's rear-mounted radiator, fan, and fuel tank. I'm not quite sure why, but it just looks glorious. RELATED: Reports Say Mid-Engine Corvette Will Arrive in 2018 Inside the vintage cab, the Chevrolet furthers its racing proclivities (it's said to have won burnout and auto-cross events) with a pair of harnessed racing seats, a drift brake, a detachable steering wheel, and a tachometer with oil and temperature gauges, but oddly no speedometer. The shifter is a crescent wrench. And its shift boot? That's a Crown Royal Purple bag. All in all, this grin-worthy Frankenstein creation tallies up bits and pieces from four different vehicles (five if you include the Camaro wheels), which make it truly a mash-up of epic proportions.
