This is my 1970 Chevy CST 4wd 3/4 Ton custom camper special. It is a long bed. The camper shell is included. It runs good and I use it as my daily driver. The drive shaft and rear end have been beefed up (don't know what kind) and there is a Gear-vendor gear splitter installed that helps with higher end speeds. Tires are in good shape. This is a rare truck. In 1970 the UAW went on strike, stopping production of these truck so the numbers are low. The engine has been beefed up with an Edelbrock RPM Proformer intake and Carb, and a beefier cam. Hooker headers are also installed. The Truck sounds mean! The transmission is a 4 speed with 1st gear being a granny-low. I have over $3000 in new parts for this truck still new in the boxes that I have never installed. Some of which are complete interior, new radio (installs in factory holes so no cutting of the dash is needed) New front bumper, new fuel tank selector valve, seat foam, front grill bezel, carpet kit, Weather stripping, and more. I can remember it all.I was going to restore the truck but I have come to the conclusion that I just don't have the time to do it. The body is very straight and there is little rust other than surface rust. It is a California truck and has not been exposed to harsh conditions or road salts. There is some bondo work on the tailgate and on on the bed of the truck and also the rear of the cab where the previous owner took off the silver trim and was in the process of smoothing over the mounting stubs. See pics. the milage reads about 58,000 but I don't know if it has turned or not. The truck has A/C but it currently is not hooked up. I don't think it would take much to get it going. Power steering and power breaks. New rear window with slider. Factory Tach and A/C. Thanks for looking. Please feel free to contact me if you have and questions. The truck can be seen in Redding, California. I will help with meeting with your shipper if needed.

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years

Fri, Feb 21 2014

Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up. Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
