1967 Chevrolet C-30 Flatbed Dually Farm Pickup C-10 C-20 on 2040-cars
Grove City, Ohio, United States
You are bidding on a 1967 Chevrolet C-30 Flatbed Dually Farm Truck. I have a receipt for the restoration work thus far for $12,900. I can tell you that the truck runs and drives like it should. It is not a hotrod. The transmission and clutch are strong like it was when it was new. It has granny gear in first and reverse which takes some getting use to. I always start out in 2nd gear when driving it on the road. It doesn't leak any fluids of any kind. There are no rips, tears or stains on the bench seat. It looks new and authentic.
I bought it a couple months back and planned on using as a "promotion truck" for my Public Auction business. The problem is, its just too nice for that. I can't stand the thought of scratching it. The bed looks like it was built by a cabinetmaker. The paint is bright and looks like a factory finish. It is obvious to me that the restoration was done according to factory detail. It has 6 new tires that would have been how the truck was ordered in 1967. The engine compartment and fender wells are clean and the frame is as black as midnight. The dash panel has gauges and not dummy lights. I love that feature. The speedometer and gas gauge work for sure but I can't say for sure if the rest of them do. This would make a perfect promo or theme truck for your business. Put your company logo on the doors or put a stake bed on it? It certainly makes a statement and you will love this truck. You will appreciate the detail of the build when you see it. These are my truthful opinions but please use your own judgement when bidding. It's an old classic. I make no guarantees or warranty expressed or implied. |

Question of the Day: What's the most irritating car name?
Wed, Mar 9 2016You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names

Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out
Thu, 29 Apr 2010Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
