1966 Chevrolet C20 pickup truck - (MEDWAY, MA)
IT APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL PAINT BUT CAN'T BE SURE, I'VE NEVER HAD ANY PAINT WORK DONE. THERE IS SOME MINOR RUST SPOTS SEE PHOTOS, BOTTOM BACK OF FRONT LEFT & RIGHT FENDERS, DRIVERS SIDE HOOD NEXT TO MARKER LIGHT, PASSENGER SIDE ANTENNA PANEL AND A FEW VERY SMALL PAINT BLISTERS. I BOUGHT A HOUSE IN WELLFLEET, MASSACHUSETTS IN 1993 AND THE TRUCK HAS BEEN THERE EVER SINCE I BROUGHT IT HOME TO MEDWAY MA. YOU CAN SEE MY DUMP STICKERS ON THE WINDOWS. I PUT ON ABOUT 200 MILES A YEAR SINCE ON THE CAPE. THE MILEAGE IS CORRECT.
THE ORIGINAL WOOD BED FLOOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE. I DID SOME BRAKE WORK LAST YEAR. EMERGENCY BRAKE WORKS FINE. IT HAS 3 FACTORY GAS TANKS. ONE BEHIND THE SEAT AND ONE ON EACH SIDE OF QUARTET PANELS. I BELIEVE IT WAS PART OF THE CAMPER SPECIAL PACKAGE. 327 MOTOR WITH TO BATTERY SET UPS ALSO PART OF CAMPER SPECIAL. I PUT NEW TIRES ON IT 2 YEARS AGO THE OLD ONES WERE DRY CRACKED. THE TRUCK HAS LOW GEARS. I WOULD SAY SHE WOULD MAKE A GREAT DRIVER BUT COULD BE RESTORED TO A TRAILER QUEEN. AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION BY APPOINTMENT. SOLD WITH TITLE. SOLD AS IS. LOW RESERVE!

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
Leak reveals GM's 2017 heavy duty diesel trucks to get 910 lb-ft of torque [UPDATE]
Tue, Sep 27 2016UPDATE: Chevrolet officially announced specs for the 2017 Silverado HD and the rumors were true. The truck's new Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V8 puts out 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. Chevrolet says the new motor produces 19 percent more torque and 12 percent more horsepower, while producing 35 percent fewer emissions. Overall, the new engine is a big improvement over the current motor, which generates 397 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque. According to Truck Trend, GM's newest heavy duty pickup trucks will pick up quite a bit more power and torque. The publication spotted a recent GM Powertrain ordering catalog that had the engine specs for the 2017 model year and managed to get some screenshots before the catalog was taken down, and they can be viewed here. The screenshots revealed that the 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 powering the Silverado and Sierra heavy duty models will boast 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. This is a substantial gain over the current models' 397 horsepower and 765 lb-ft of torque, and as Truck Trend points out, it exceeds the Ford Super Duty line's horsepower output of 440, but comes short of the 925 lb-ft rating. Truck Trend credits part of this output gain to the new intake system GM will introduce on the 2017 heavy duties. The intake gets 60 percent of its air from a scoop on the hood, with the other 40 percent coming from behind one of the front fenders. GM doesn't reveal horsepower figures in the press release about the scoop, but it does say the cooler air helps with maintaining the engine's output, and that the scoop does produce a ram-air affect, providing more air at speed. As we know, more air plus more fuel equals more power, but there's likely more to the power increase in this engine than only the intake. Pony-car sales war: Mustang vs. Camaro vs. Challenger [UPDATE]
Fri, Jul 3 2015Update: An earlier version of this story misstated the 2015 Mustang's weight when compared with previous models. Additionally, we have added comments from Chevrolet in the text. The Ford Mustang has blown past the Chevy Camaro as America's best-selling pony car, and in June, it wasn't even close. The 'Stang outsold the Camaro 11,719 to 8,611 cars. The Camaro remained ahead of the Dodge Challenger, which sold 6,845 units. Even though the Camaro did post an 11.5-percent sales improvement in June, the competition is arguably stronger than at anytime since the 1970s muscle-car era. The Mustang's sales leapt a whopping 53.6 percent, while the Challenger saw a gain of 56 percent. Several factors are weighing down Camaro sales, including its lame duck status. Chevy is launching a new generation of the Camaro this year that's more than 200 pounds lighter, offers a new turbo four-cylinder engine option, and has a nicer interior than the outgoing model. Put simply: wait a few months and you can get a better car. It's also unlikely Chevy will jack up the price much, as it's historically kept the Camaro within reach of everyday enthusiasts. While Chevy fans wait in anticipation for their new sports car, Ford and Dodge have downshifted. The new Mustang, which went on sale last year, is faster and more sophisticated than its predecessor. It also offers a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, which Ford has credited for the Mustang's recent uptick and makes up 36 percent of the car's sales, Ford analyst Erich Merkle said. View 17 Photos June's performance allowed the Mustang to widen its sales gap with the Camaro this year. Through the first five months, Ford sold 68,290 Mustangs, a 54.4-percent increased compared with 2014. Chevy sold 42,593 Camaros, an 8.7-percent decrease. The Challenger – long the No. 3 pony car in sales volume – has seen its sales surge 41 percent this year to 37,011 units. Spokesman Monte Doran said Chevy expected that 2015 would be a "relatively soft year" for the Camaro. "Mustang is taking advantage of years' worth of pent-up demand for an independent rear suspension," he said. "When Camaro introduced an IRS, in 2009, it helped make us the best-selling performance car in America.
