This 1956 was my dream of owning a truck from the year I was born, a one of a kind truck for the truck shows. Bought the truck and found out I mis the little things like power options and a/c. It sits more and more in the garage so see what interest is here for it. The truck has 63,800 miles on it, the motor was replaced when I purchased it with a newer 350 V8, I had new clutch kit put in it last year along with new brakes & hardware, exhaust system, king pins, wheel bearings, and more than I can remember right now but have all the paper work on all work done and it adds up way to fast as we all know. So a series 3600 heavy duty 3/4 ton with 4 speed tranny ( not wired for electric brakes) but is a very strong toy hauler. Only things I know of non original are the stereo, outside mirrors, and the engine. Extra set of tires and rims go with the truck, it has 7.50/17's on it and 4-265/75/16's go with it. In the pictures I have the 17's in the bed and the 16's on the truck.

MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon
Sat, Jun 20 2015MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.
