You are bidding on a 1956 Chevrolet Pickup. I bought this as a project about 10 years ago and never got it finished. It has been in storage for a long time. This truck is not a project for an inexperienced individual. It needs a lot of work but will make a very good truck. The body is very straight with very little rust. It does have a small amount in the steps and a small amount in the front fenders. The bed is very nice but the floor is gone. It is in mock up stage right now with everything sitting in place. It needs to be taken back apart and the frame painted and body work done. Then reassembled. I do have the original front seat, front and rear chrome bumpers in decent shape and a few other small pieces. There are no door glasses or dash instruments. I replaced the original front suspension with a 1980 Chevy pickup front clip. If you look at the frame where it is put together, it would be very hard to tell that it is not a factory frame. The rear-end is also a Chevy pickup 12-bolt and I was going to use all other components from that style of truck. The truck rolls but there is no motor or transmission included. I have currently a 427 block and 400 turbo sitting in it but I am going to take it out. It is being sold with a bill of sale only. That means there is no title and I have never had one. It was lost many years ago. What you see in the pictures is what you are buying with the exception of the other items I mentioned. No more or less. If you have any questions feel free to ask. It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place.
