Paint is really good except for some slight fading spots on hood and very minor scratches on the running boards where people have placed their feet getting in and out."

The BEST of both worlds...

LOOKS GREAT, but not a trailer queen your afraid to drive.

Kept completely original like grandpa's, but not abused....dependable and fun!

This is an original well cared for Time capsule. In 1955 the body styles changed in midyear. This was the "advanced series" body style that was very popular from 1947-1955.

Well maintained, *everything works and works as it should.  (Vacuum wipers are weak, I use rain-ex).

The amazing thing is the low mileage* and excellent overall condition. NO rust in the floors cab corners, (drivers side has been repaired), or other areas
where these trucks are known to rust.  I have included many pictures detailing how extremely solid this truck is.

Engine : Original 235 6cyl.  New plugs, points, tune-up and oil change in the last 200 miles. Great compression. RUNS STRONG!

Transmission: Original 3-speed on the column. Shifts beautifully, No issues.

All electrical, gauges, brakes, horn, windows, doors, work as they should. This Truck passed Missouri State inspection, is licensed, insured,
and driven on nice days.

Interior shows slight wear but is all original.

Truck was repainted it's original factory color, which I believe is called Ocean Green. The firewall is also that original color, was NOT repainted,
and still has the inspection number 85 chalk mark in the center behind the valve cover.  HOW COOL IS THAT!

I would drive it anywhere.  We have plans to take it on a 80 mile antique auto tour later this month if it doesn't sell. The grandkids love it!

* I cannot guarantee the 54,691 miles to be absolutely correct...but I believe that it is.

CLEAR TITLE     CASH OR WIRE TRANSFER ONLY!     Serious buyers may contact me at 816-729-8513            NO TRADES

Note my positive feedback so that you may bid confidently.     No warranty implied....However it is a wonderful, well cared for and dependable truck.

Chevy working on production Impala Midnight Edition

Sat, Dec 13 2014

To put together the Impala Blackout concept for SEMA, Chevrolet didn't need to go much further than its accessories catalog. The in-house connection is what could make it possible for Chevy to get a production version of the Blackout into dealers this model year, with its few bits of chrome trim and dark detailing on the 19-inch aluminum wheels set into an abyss of gloss black paint, black Bowtie, grille surround, rear spoiler and mirror caps. The interior is black leather, with stainless steel for the sill plates and pedals, and an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and it gets the optional 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6. The brand's marketing director for cars and crossovers, Steve Majoros, told Edmunds that it could come in late spring, and that it will be called "Midnight Edition." Majoros didn't give any indication of pricing or if the production car will be spec'd out like the concept. If you simply don't want to wait for late spring, you could work your DIY mojo by putting one together the same way Chevrolet did: give the accessories catalog a workout. Related Video:

GM files to trademark name Badlands

Mon, Feb 23 2015

If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. This is how GM is hiding new Chevy Volt in public

Wed, Oct 1 2014

General Motors is letting the public know that, well, it's not about to let the public know anything else about the next-generation Chevrolet Volt. But the automaker is willing to talk about its camouflaging process for upcoming versions of the extended-range plug-in. So it's a half-hearted secret, at best. GM actually has a "camouflage engineer" charged with creating ways to disguise the styling of new vehicles. In the Volt's case, the company is applying black and white swirly color patterns on top of the materials, such as plastics, vinyl and foam, that are used liberally across the body. It's all part of a teaser campaign that started last month with pictures of part the 2016 Volt. Earlier this month, GM said it was keeping track of Volt drivers' habits as it works on the next-gen model. The company noted that more than four out of five trips are being made in all-electric driving mode, and that 60 percent of Volt owners use a plain-old 100-volt outlet to recharge their cars. The car is slated to make its global debut at Detroit's North American International Auto Show next January, and the early word is that performance and all-electric range will be improved (we should hope so). The car will also be sleeker. By how much, we can't tell yet, because of those darn swirly patterns. GM's got more non-details in its press release below. Engineers charged with hiding styling while vehicle testing proceeds in public DETROIT – The styling of the next-generation Chevrolet Volt is one of the automotive world's best-kept secrets. Keeping customers and media eager to see the successor to the groundbreaking original at bay until the new Volt debuts at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January is tricky business. First, it is engineers, not designers, who are charged with creating camouflage that balances styling secrecy with the need to validate the Volt and its systems in public. "If it were up to me it would be a shoebox driving down the road," said Lionel Perkins, GM camouflage engineer. "The design team wants us to cover more of the vehicle and the engineering team needs to have enough of the vehicle's weight and aero exposed so that the tests in the development process are consistent with the product that will come to market." The engineers responsible for the "cool" designs covering the car might deserve style points but their efforts are intended strictly to hide the metal beneath.
