1955 Chevrolet 3100 First Series Pickup Truck

For sale is a 55 First Series 5 Window Chevy Truck. This is a project I have been working on and gathering parts for a while and have now decided to sale. I have a clear California title in hand and the truck has been on registered non-op so there are no back fees owed. There is very little rust at all throughout the vehicle. I have had a lot of work done to this vehicle and have invested a lot of money collecting parts.  Most of the parts needed to fully reassemble the truck are there. I have had an early camaro front and rear suspension installed with four wheel disk brakes and a 10 bolt rearend . I have brand new rotors on the back (was going to turn the front rotors), new window rubber, new chrome headlight bezels, new cab mounts and hardware installed, used later model steering column, used brake booster, front fenders, rear fenders, front and rear bumpers with brackets(which have surface rust), grille, hood, original speedometer and gauges, rally wheels are 15x8 front 15x10 rear(tires are not great with leaks on both driver side tires), rear corner glass(but no other glass I was going to buy new glass kit after painting). The floor was cut in two places to accommodate a V8 motor and auto trans and for a later model steering column, panels were riveted to the floor which I have taken off, I was going to replace these patches with original floor parts. There is a small patch of rust below where heater box was originally mounted on passenger side near cab mount(see picture) and a small patch of rust on outside of firewall near same spot where heater box was (see picture). There is no motor or transmission. This is a great project that has had a lot of work and parts gathering already done. If there are any questions or concerns about the vehicle or if you want to see specific pictures please email your questions or requests, also if you would like to speak to me directly about the vehicle please email me and request my phone number or send your contact number and I will call you as soon as possible. If you would like to come inspect the vehicle in person prior to bidding it is no problem at all, in fact it is encouraged so you know exactly what you are buying. Because I have over $4000 dollars invested there is a reserve price on this auction of $2500, my hope is that someone gets a good deal on a great project.

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures

Tue, Jun 23 2020

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski  Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.

So, how do you actually pronounce that automaker's name?

Thu, Jan 21 2016

You probably have that friend who always says Porsche wrong, or maybe it's someone who keeps reminding you it's actually two syllables. Whichever side of the pronunciation debate you fall on, you'll find someone to root for in the video above. And before you ask, this was all the video team's idea. So don't get mad at me for being the voice of reason. BMW Chevrolet Hyundai Nissan Rolls-Royce Videos Original Video nissan qashqai
