1954 Chevrolet Truck 3100 Series, 4-speed, Dry, Runs Great on 2040-cars
Calabasas, California, United States
This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 Series truck is a dry, complete, California native that belongs to my mechanic (Frank) and I am hosting this auction for him. The truck is available to see in Canoga Park, CA where he can put it on the hoist for you. If you are out of town, send me a note and I will send additional photos and provide any information about the truck. The truck has been made to be a reliable driver with sorted mechanicals, brakes & electrical. Frank has installed new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, lines & shoes, bearings and turned the drums. The 4-spd manual trans has been serviced as well as the differential. The reliability of the 235 Inline-6 has been improved as Frank’s workhorse with a new alternator and full-flow oil filter. The un-cut steel dash contains original gauges and everything works (fuel, temp, press. & amps). All glass is good and un-cracked and all moveable windows function as they should. The body is solid and straight with no accident damage. The exterior paint that she currently wears is more of a preservative for the nice metal underneath. She stands proud and tall on original wheels with excellent original hubcaps. Enjoy this vintage piece of rolling mechanical art as is, or use it as the basis for a straight-forward restoration and return it to its lustrous life as happy farm truck Thank you- Dave.

Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
