This truck is a part of my father's small car collection and he is in the process of selling the collection.
This is a 1953 Chevrolet 3100 Pick-up with the original inline 6-cylinder and 3-speed automatic transmission. The truck has just under 65,100 ORIGINAL miles. The entire truck has been restored EXCLUDING the power train.
The truck has be repainted the original color, which is black. In my honest opinion, the repaint is a quality repaint. The interior has been redone in black/red upholstery. The dash components appear to be original or original-spec.
The truck has custom wheels and tires, both of which are in good condition.
The bed of the truck features dark wood paneling in the floor with a custom made vinyl covering that snaps on.
The truck runs and drives as it should. All of the body panels and metal body components are in great overall shape.
I have tried to provide a very basic overview of the truck and the pictures that are included in this ad should give you a good idea of the condition of the truck and what exactly the truck is. If you have any question, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me by phone at (270) 748-1882. I am willing to assist you in any way possible. The pick-up process or shipping process for the new owner will be the sole responsibility of the new owner. The truck holds a clean and clear title that is ready for transfer to a new owner. I will accept cash or certified bank check for the full purchase price. The funds from the certified bank check will have to clear before the truck or the title will leave my possession. Thank you for your interest and happy bidding!

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
Corvette Stolen In Detroit Returned To Owner After 33 Years
Wed, Jun 25 2014A Detroit man had his stolen Corvette returned 33 years after it disappeared while parked on one of Detroit's main drags, according to ABC 7. The last time George Talley saw his 1979 Corvette was on a July day in 1981, when it disappeared from its parking spot on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. He had given up hope of ever seeing his car again, until a phone call from AAA brought his sporty ride home. Authorities had come across a Corvette with a questionable VIN in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When they ran the number Talley's stolen car report came up. The car is still in pretty good shape and only has 47,000 miles on the odometer. Talley wasn't sure how he could get the car back home, but General Motors stepped in and agreed to cover the cost of bringing the 'Vette home. Talley has always had a passion for Detroit-made muscle cars. "I've always liked Corvettes. It was attractive. The ladies like 'em," Talley told ABC 7.
