1951 Chevy shortbed. built on a 91 s-10 chassis. vehicle currently has NO ENGINE
or TRANSMISSION. needs to be finished, but is a great project that has come a long way.
I no longer have the time or funds to complete it. Has a great "patina" paint job
performed by me. I own a custom body shop and this was one of my personal projects.
we also did the "patina" wood bed floor. brand new rims and tires, 20s in rear, 18s
up front. theres a seat in it from something else (was there when i bought it) but
I do have a factory original seat that just needs some foam and upholtery. (factory
seats are very difficult to locate). I also have a lot of the trim for the truck,
I just thought it looked cooler without it. I have the brake booster and all the
pedals out of the s10 as well that will go with the truck. It does have the s10
steering column installed and steering linkage hooked up. Buy this truck for a Fraction
of a running one and put in the motor of YOUR choosing! There is NO buy it now and
in fairness to everyone I will not say my reserve, but I can tell you its LOW! Happy

Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega

Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood.
