1973 Chevrolet Nova SS.....NO RESERVE Has a 2002 4.8 truck engine with 70,xxx miles -Brand New built th350 -Brand New TCI Streetfighter 3500 rpm converter with antiballooning plate -Siemens Deka 60lb fuel injectors -Dual in tank fuel pumps -Fuel tank in trunk -Ls6 intake -Comp beehive Valve springs -3.73 gears and pos unit -set up for turbo, all piping is ready, to run without intercooler, just needs the turbo The body is mostly solid, it does need a right front fender, due to a large dent and scrape. The car used to be black with silver stripes, but the clear coat has peeled off, and is now mostly flat black. The interior is incomplete, all seats were removed except the drivers, the door panels, and dash are still factory and intact. the carpet is in poor condition also. Trunk has large hole, but not from rust. I do have the bumpers, but they are not on the car. It has Weld Drag lites with slicks on the rear. The car has about 10 miles on it with this engine and about 10 miles on the new transmission. The right front brake is dragging, but can be fixed before sale is completed so that the buyer can drive the car home. NO warranty is expressed or implied, I do require a non refundable $300 deposit within 24hrs NO exceptions, and full payment within 5 days. Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.

Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
