Before I begin I would encourage all serious buyers to contact me directly at: 517-425-0129. Although this is a 7 day auction I reserve the right to end early. You are bidding on a great example of Chevy muscle car history, the 1972 Nova. The 1972 was arguably the last of the "good" years and certainly collectable. This vehicle began its life as a bare bones 6 cylinder automatic, still retains its original early 70's classic green on green color combo. The miles indicated are just shy of 45000 and said to be original, I have the original owners manual, sales literature and vehicle inspection form. So what we have is a very solid classic Nova with great ownership history that has recently been mechanically upgraded to a serious 500 hp sleeper. Still retains that Sunday driver look with black wall tires, steel wheels and a bench seat and only the most observant would notice the 3" exhaust, deep sump oil pan, traction bars and of course that big block sound. Description as follows: Interior: Factory original combo of bench seat, column shift automatic, still retains the original working AM radio and factory original steering wheel. Does have a set of aftermarket gauges mounted under the dash. Overall interior condition is excellent, all gauges, lights, speedo etc. work properly. Exterior: One repaint to its original code 48 Sequoia Green. All exterior chrome and trim in nice shape. 15 x 7 and 15 x 8 steel wheels on new radials and chrome center caps. Body in very nice condition, minimal nicks or chips. Nicely detailed trunk area with spare and jack assembly. Mechanical: Early 70's 454 casting # 361959, built to 496 cu in. and approx. 500 hp according to prior owner. No dyno sheets to prove the horse power but based on a "seat of the pants" opinion, this car pulls awfully strong. Edelbrock air gap aluminum intake, 750 cfm Edelbrock carb. Extreme high energy cam, Lunati valve train, Moroso 7 qt. oil pan, HEI ignition. Transmission is a TH350 tran with stall converter. Posi rear end with 4.10 gear. Full 3" flow master exhaust with tail pipes, incredible sound! Very nicely done engine compartment with vintage style dual snorkel air cleaner. This Nova starts, runs and drives very reliably on pump gas, heavy duty radiator, absolutely no overheating problems. No smoke, no leaks, totally turn key, just get in and go. Please take the time to review all the pics and dont hesitate to call with further questions; 517-425-0129. I also have contact with a reasonable shipping company and would be glad to assist. Vehicle offered by Rare Rides, a licensed MI dealer. TERMS; 25% NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT DUE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSE, BALANCE DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS OR VEHICLE PICK UP, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. PREFERRED PAYMENT IS BANK TO BANK WIRE TRANSFER OR CERTIFIED BANK FUNDS. VEHICLE PURCHASED "AS IS" NO WARRANTIES OR REFUNDS IMPLIED.

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]
Sun, 03 Feb 2013The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors
Mon, 04 Feb 2013As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Scroll down below for an official announcement from General Motors.
