This car is an all steel body and not known to have been ever been wrecked or have issues . Custom paint is a bright red with silver/black air bushed graphics. Paint on a 1 to 10 scale is a 7.5 - 8.5.(Only because of age and a few blems.) The Cowl hood is from Good Mark Industries. This car has been mini tubed ,but has a stock back seat and full trunk with factory hinges .Chrome is in great shape . Tinted windows ( medium ) all in great working order . The motor is a crate 350 ci with Holley fuel injection (nice sounding cam, specs unknown), heat and air conditioning work fine ,new factory power steering , new power 4 wheel disc brakes . Griffin over sized radiator , to much polished aluminum to list . The engine compartment is custom painted ( gun metal gray )from the body shop .All new front suspension ( factory or better ) .The transmission is a 700R4 ( overdrive ) new mounts and new balanced Driveline Specialties drive shaft . Some would refer to this car as being a back half car because of the ladder bar suspension. Has a Ford 8.8 new style rear end 3:73 gear ,aluminum differential cover . New fuel tank ( factory ) inside the trunk is complete with amp and sub woofer . The interior is like new and is mostly factory except the center custom built console with cup holders and also the custom Covan dash /gauge cluster (carbon fiber )The stereo kicks to say the least and is XM capable. All of the JL Audio 500/1amp and Eclipse amp for the main system were professionally installed by Audio Systems LLC . and at this time the battery was relocated to the trunk as the engine noise filters were put into use . Custom billet steering wheel. This build is less than 10 years old and has just over 4000 miles on any portion of it . Being in my late 40's , I built it for me and has been inside with a cover on it .The wheels are Weld Racing five spoke , tires are Goodyear TA radial ( rear ) P295/50R15 , (front ) P205/60R15 . This car drives and rides great. Motor runs perfectly and sounds awesome. Thanks for viewing. |

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit
Mon, 04 Mar 2013We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.
Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
2014 Corvette Stingray meets Tesla Model S in drag strip showdown
Wed, Jan 29 2014They come from two different worlds and have little in common. The Tesla Model S P85 is the sportiest version of this paradigm-punching sedan from California, while the 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is a performance-enhanced version of Michigan's recently-updated sports car stalwart. The West Coast car seats five adults and eats electrons like Popeye eats spinach, the Easterner has two passenger places and, surprisingly, sips gasoline like one might bourbon. An attribute they do happen to share is extreme quickness. This similarity is all the excuse Drag Times needed to set the vehicles beside each other at the Palm Beach International Raceway for a bit of mano-a-mano quarter-mile combat. Fortunately enough, cameras were rolling for each of two bouts down the blacktop and the results recorded for our edification and enlightenment. The winner? We won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's really, really close. How close? Scroll below and watch the video for yourself. Just be warned, the results may surprise you.
