Car is not perfect but an easy 9.5/10 Car took first place in the Pro Street class at the Super Chevy show at Gateway this past summer. It does need a new trunk seal/weatherstripping and the doors and trunk need to be realigned, I took them off while doing some work to the car, but without any help, I did not get them lined up properly.

The engine is a 468ci Engine and Built 400 turbo trans. It is currently torn down and out of the car. There was nothing wrong with it, I was simply going to put a set of Brodix heads and a roller cam and lifter in it but ran out of money due to emergency problems. (also the reason I am selling my car).
The Engine: made 587RWHP GM 4 bolt main, ARP main studs .030 over honed with deck plates. GM Steel crank with radius throws and balanced to neutral. 1050 Dominator Carb and custom built dual fan 4 core Ron Davis radiator. Car never got over 200 degrees, even when waiting in line on pavement in 105 degree weather. Carb is a Custom built 1050 Holley Dominator.

Also have custom built Headers and full custom built 3 1/2" exhaust with chevy emblem ends, Makes the car sound amazing. Headers were custom built to fit around the Allston front end and steering and tuned for maximum gains with this engine. Headers and exhaust are all coated.

Trans is a fully custom built 400 turbo with reverse manual shift valve body and built to hold 2500ft/lbs of torque. 3500 stall SFI certified converter

All said, there is somewhere near $90,000 invested in the car, I am selling it at no reserve for a fraction of what is in it. Car is for sale locally as well and therefore reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally.

I can deliver the car anywhere in the lower 48 for an additional fee.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]

Wed, Jan 14 2015

Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show

Watch a 2015 Corvette Z06 run the quarter in 11.7 seconds

Sun, Dec 28 2014

We're not writing about this because it's an amazing run, we're writing about it because it appears to be the first run. Someone took a 2015 Corvette Z06 to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas and blasted it down through the quarter mile. It's still wearing the dealer number in wax pen on the windshield and dealer plates, so this example is fresh from the mold. It's also a seven-speed manual. General Motors said the row-your-own Z06 can do the 'strip in 11.2 seconds, and they undoubtedly had a professional driver and more than one run to set that time. To have Just Some Guy show up at the raceway and do an 11.7 at 120.54 mph on his first run means we expect good things to come as Z06s get delivered to their owners. Check out the run in the video.
