FOR SALE 1967 CHEVY II NOVA. ORIGINAL 194 CI, 6 CYLINDER ENGINE, CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL PAINT IT HAS NEVER BEEN REPAINTED TO MY KNOWLEDGE, IT HAS SOME SURFACE RUST IN A FEW SPOTS.... BACK BY THE GAS CAP AND AROUND THE COWL IN FRONT OF THE WINDSHIELD . THERE IS A MARK THAT STARTS RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER AND GOES BACK TO THE REAR JUST A LITTLE BEHIND THE PASSENGER DOOR FROM WHERE A SHOPPING CART GOT INTO IT FROM AN ELDERLY LADY THAT FIRST OWNED IT, BUT IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD FOR BEING ORIGINAL PAINT FOR ITS AGE. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR SINCE 1994, I BELIEVE I'M THE FOURTH OWNER, I HAVE THE ORIGINAL PROTECT-O-PLATE INFORMATION FROM ORIGINAL PURCHASE OF THE CAR THAT GOES WITH IT AS WELL, WHEN I GOT THE CAR I TOOK THE ENGINE OUT AND CLEANED IT, PUT ALL NEW GASKETS AND REPAINTED IT, WENT THROUGH THE TRANSMISSION AND CLEANED IT, AND PUT A NEW FILTER,GASKET AND FLUID IN IT, SANDBLASTED THE FRONT END, REPAINTED THE FRONT END AND PUT ALL NEW CHASSIS PARTS THAT IT NEEDED ON IT, COMPLETE NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM ,NEW GAS TANK AND SENDING UNIT. JUST RECENTLY PUT ON NEW FRONT AND REAR BRAKES, NEW SHOCKS ,SERVICED THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN AND PUT A CHOKE ON IT BECAUSE IT WAS A LITTLE HARD TO START WHEN IT WAS COLD OUTSIDE. I HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL RIMS,TIRES AND HUB CAPS TO GO WITH IT. THE TRUNK IS IN GREAT SHAPE AS WELL AS THE FLOOR PANS. THE CAR HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT EVER SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. THE UNDERCARRIGE HAS NOT BEEN REDONE, IT SHOWS NORMAL WEAR OF A CAR THAT IS 46 YEARS OLD. ALL THE GLASS ,CHROME AND BUMPERS ARE ORIGINAL. ALL THE LIGHTS, WIPERS AND SPEEDOMETER WORK FINE. THE CAR IS ABOUT AS PLAIN AS YOU GET, NO AIR CONDITIONING,NO POWER BRAKES,NO POWER STEERING. THE CAR HAD A LITTLE OVER 55,000 MILES WHEN I GOT IT AND NOW HAS JUST UNDER 60,000 ON IT. I JUST RECENTLY DROVE IT TO THE STREET MACHINE NATIONALS IN DUQUOIN WHICH IS 2 HRS AWAY AND IT RODE AND DROVE FINE. I TRIED TO KEEP THINGS AS CLOSE TO ORIGINAL AS I COULD. THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT ARE NOT ORIGINAL BUT IT WOULDN'T TAKE MUCH TO PUT THEM BACK. I WOULD CONSIDER TRADING FOR A OLDER CHEVELLE OR OLDER CAMARO 67-72. PAYMENT TO BE MADE AS FOLLOWS $1000.00 DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF END OF AUCTION, BALANCE DUE IN FULL WITHIN 3 DAYS OF END OF AUCTION, YOU MAY CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION (618) 838-3887 AND I CAN SEND MORE PICTURES IF NEEDED. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY THANK YOU

First 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 Sells For One Million Dollars
Mon, Apr 14 2014NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick loves buying first-built Chevrolet models for charity. He paid $1 million to buy the first production 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible and $650,000 to get the first 2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28. Hendrick's latest purchase happened at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach where he got into a bidding war to pay $1 million to get the first 2015 Corvette Z06. The bidding came quick with the car reaching $100,000 within 3 seconds and hitting $500,000 in about 35 seconds. The money from the sale was donated to the Karmanos Cancer Institute. Autoblog In Cuba: 1957 Chevy Bel Air Review
Mon, Oct 5 2015If you've been following the Autoblog In Cuba series, you may remember that my efforts to rent a car in the country were ultimately unsuccessful. Misinformation, bad planning, and a lack of rental car inventory conspired to disrupt my hoped-for driving adventure. I discovered in my week of exploration, however, that the terrific thing about Havana is that there's always another adventure to be found – if you're willing to look. A car I could drive myself might have been impossible to come by, but a ride to remember was not. After all, even when reviewing a new car, I've found that impressions about the car and the route can be credibly formed from the right seat. Starting from the parking lot of the grand Hotel Nacional, finding an interesting car for hire is as simple as walking up and down the block. Scads of classic American iron wait just outside the hotel gates, in a riot of colors and conditions befitting the tropical climate. Fords from the 1940s are plentiful – more sedans than coupes – and the glory days of General Motors are represented by enough Pontiacs and Cadillacs to fill a Bruce Springsteen B-sides album. But the Chevy Bel Air is the king of the road here, by some margin. View 30 Photos I settled on a burnt orange 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, in tourist-appropriate condition. I was looking for a hardtop at the request of my crew's audio/video needs, but settled on a burnt orange 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, in tourist-appropriate condition. This car might look good as a prop in the background on your vacation photos – hair blowing in the breeze with the ocean at your back, parked in front of Che's face in Revolution Square, etc. – but was far from pristine on a closer inspection. A perfect representative of the Cuban average. At least the price was right: $50 for two hours to make it 12 miles to Hemingway's house, and back. My driver was a kid named Daniel who looked to be about 20 years old. The Chevy doesn't belong to him, he co-drives it with the owner, but he was able to give me the basic mechanical rundown. The eight- or six-cylinder engine that Chevy shipped this convertible with was long gone. No surprise there, as nearly every American-made car I'd ridden in so far was powered by some belching Mercedes diesel. Despite it's clattering note, Daniel said the lump under the hood of the '57 drinks gas: a four-cylinder of Russian origins, pulled out of a GAZ Volga as best I can understand.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
