1972 Chevrolet Nova sedan. Don't want it to go but, there will be a new addition to the family so my sister needs a newer more practical vehicle. it has the 307 Ci motor with the TH350 transmission. Just passed emissions with flying colors! Has 112,699 original miles. It was a little old ladies car. She traded it in for a new car. Our friend bought it, barely drove it and sold it to my sister. she has been driving it everyday for the past three years. the good thing is, just never very far. Rust-free, Arizona car(it could use a paint job). The body is super straight. 2 tiny dings (one on the hood and one on the trunk) and 1 small fender bender on the passenger rear quarter panel. Nothing major whatsoever. Easy fixes. It's all original. Headliner is in top notch shape. Seats need to be reupholstered of course. I put in a new tranny pan gasket and a oil pan gasket where It was leaking. Rebuilt the carb. It starts and runs great. Just needs some valve cover gaskets, maybe more. The factory air and heater work. Just needs a new compressor. This is an amazing car and part of history. Has a aftermarket CD player with aux for iPod or smartphone. Aftermarket speakers. It's just a cool car. Yeah it has 4 doors, but that is what's great about it. You never see one in this good of condition anywhere. Great for somebodies first car or restoration project. still dependable enough for daily driving. need to sell ASAP! Will ship wherever at winners expense. Happy bidding!

Here's how the EcoCAR 3 teams are going to green up their Camaros
Tue, Nov 10 2015Plug-in hybrids were probably not what the Dead Milkmen had in mind when they wrote their 1985 alt-punk classic Bitchin' Camaro (OK, we're not really sure what they had in mind), but we're certainly fans of the effort. The 16 college teams competing in the third version of the EcoCAR green-vehicle contest have declared which powertrains they will attempt to build for maximum environmental friendliness. They'll be working with 2016 Chevrolet Camaros that General Motors is donating to the competition. The US Department of Energy is also helping to fund the competition. Out of the 16, all but one will go with a plug-in hybrid powertrain which switches over from electric power to an engine powered by E85 (i.e., an 85-percent ethanol blend) when the juice runs out. Those schools include the University of Alabama, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Ohio State and Penn State. The lone dissenter is the team from the University of Tennessee, which is going with a hybrid vehicle powered by E10. This past spring, Ohio State was named winner of Year One of EcoCAR3, winning $10,000 in the process. THE Ohio State University (as students and alumni like to call it) also won the overall competition for EcoCAR 2 last year. The vehicle used in that project was a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, and OSU also used a plug-in hybrid/E85 combo to take the big prize. Take a look at the list of schools and their powertrains of choice for EcoCAR 3 here. Related Video:

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
