You are bidding on a gorgeous just restored 1971 Chevy Nova {Yenko Tribute}. This vehicle is being listed for a friend and he just got it back this summer. The vehicle is laser straight and solid. The paint is great, I'm not going to call it "Show Car Quality" because of perfectionists out there, but it is near perfect. All the white stripes are not decals they are hand painted and this car is an eye catcher. Some of the features are a newer 406 SBC (450HP) with Aluminum Brodix Heads (10-1 comp....92 octane), Comp Cam Hydraulic Duration 294/300, Lift .540/.562, Lobe 110.0, 1.5 Roller Rockers, Edelbrock 750 Carb w/ Edelbrock Air Gap Intake, ( 1500-6000 RPM), March Serpentine Pulley Kit. The Vehicle has a built Turbo 350 (3500 Stall) and it also has a 10 Bolt rear end with 373 Gears. This Nova drives great and has plenty of power. I have personally been inside this car and it rides the way it should straight down the road. The interior is nice with bucket seats and a automatic shifter on the floor. Rims and tires are nice and the tires has a lot of tread. This vehicle has a lot of new parts during the restoration....to many to list. You will not be disappointed in the purchase of this vehicle. The owner has had it for the past 6 years and it has always been garaged and never in the rain. Remember this is a "Tribute" and not a real Yenko. The drivers side seat belt needs installed, because the owners was going to put a roll cage in but changed his mind, and put the back seat back in. I have downloaded several pictures so look and you will see its a very nice car. Please call with any questions before placing a bid, and If I can't answer them, I can give you the telephone number for the owner. This will be for local pickup only it will not be shipped. |

These are the 'Greenest' and 'Meanest' cars in 2015
Fri, Feb 6 2015As has become tradition, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has come up with a ranking of what it refers to as the "greenest" cars of 2015, and, by way of contrast, a list of the so-called "meanest" cars, so those who value eco-friendliness over all else can choose which vehicles they should or should not consider buying. As you may expect, electric cars make up the majority of the greenest cars on the list, but, perhaps surprisingly to many, the Tesla Model S didn't make the cut. It's worth noting, too, that where the electricity an owner uses to charge their electric vehicle has a big impact on its overall environmental impact. "A car that is charged using electricity generated from natural gas or renewables is going to have significantly less impact on the environment than one charged on a coal-heavy grid," says ACEEE lead vehicle analyst Shruti Vaidyanathan. The ACEEE's list for 2015 looks very different than it did in 2014. It's an interesting collection, though – and we're sure this goes without saying, really – we'd recommend doing a bit more research into each vehicle and how it might fit into your daily life before making any purchase decisions. C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1
Wed, Aug 20 2014Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party.
