1970 Nova 2-door on 2040-cars
Dayton, Washington, United States
1970 Nova, everything on this car is NEW or Rebuilt except paint/interior. All running gear has approx. 125 miles on it. Rebuilt 402 BB (matching casting number for a 402/325hp motor for a 70 Nova) rebuilt T350, new 3 core aluminum radiator, rebuilt 12 bolt posi with 3.55 gears, new power 4 wheel disc brakes, new front end ball joints, springs, shocks, body bushings, sway bars, rear end has new 3 leaf springs, bushings, shocks, new BFG tires all around with COPO caps, traction bars, 2-1/2" exhaust to the rear axle also have the tailpipes that I will throw in. I have a set of new bolt on sub-frame connectors that go with the car also. Car has a bench seat with column shift, tach and autometer gauges, new carpet. Factory exhaust manifolds, (sorry no tinny headers!) full factory soft-ray windows, good glass, looks good from about 20 feet! There is NO RUST in this car!!!! Car was a So. Cal car then went to the high desert of eastern Oregon. Now for the bad part: Rear end has a bad bearing or bearings in it. It was a Impala 12 bolt that I had narrowed to fit under the Nova. My so called buddy swapped out my good rearend I gave him for a bent one and tried to off set the end to make up for the bent housing, that is why the bearings are going south. I have a 1970 Nova car 12 bolt bare housing that will go with the car with a bearing kit to fix this problem, you do the labor. Car had a vinyl top from the factory. This is a really nice car, my health is going south so I must sell the car. I built this car as a COPO clone that is why the air cleaner has the 427/390 hp decals on it, just tried something different. Thanks for your time

MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon
Sat, Jun 20 2015MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
Motor Trend puts Chevy Camaro Z28 and Porsche 911 GT3 Head 2 Head
Mon, Dec 29 2014Motor Trend admits, "This is an unfair comparison." But that doesn't make it any less fun to watch when they pit a Camaro Z/28 against the Porsche 911 GT3. The former has a 7.0-liter V8 with 505 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque shifted through a six-speed manual. The latter has a 3.8-liter flat-six with 475 hp and 324 lb-ft shifted through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Yet those are only the little disparities – the big disparities are mass and money: the Camaro weighs 3,882 pounds and costs $76,150 as-tested, the Porsche weighs 3,267 pounds and costs $145,785. But they're both about hardcore performance, so MT takes them out on the street, to the drag strip, to the parking lot for figure eights and a skidpad test, and finally to Big Willow for Randy Pobst to give his professional assessment. Remember when a lotta people spent a lotta time debating Pirates vs. Ninjas? This is like that, only it's the "haul-ass good-time car" vs. the "track surgeon." Enjoy the debate in the video.
