1967 Chevy Nova. I purchased the car 5 years ago. I had the interior reupholstered. Seats, front and back, headliner and carpet. The wheels and tires are BRAND NEW Goodrich TA and rally 15 inch wheels. The front are 225-60R-15, the backs are 245-60R 15. The car has set in a shop under a car cover for over 3 years. I am selling as i am building a 72 Chevy ShortWide for my grandson. Engine starts right up, brakes work great, drives down the road no problem. As you can see, there is no rust on the rockers, quarter panels or fenders. Glass is good, hass scrathces, just normal wear and tear on the vehicle. Few doors scratches. The right hand rocker damage and scratch i did loading the car after the tires were put on. The tires have never seen asphalt other than loading and unloading onto a trailer. Over all the car is in excellent condition. The wiper knob is missing. The CD player works great. The rear interior panels were removed when the upholstery was done. I do have them, yet they need to be covered or replacement ones installed. Doors shut good. Does need weatherstrips around car. The floor panes do need to be replaced. 3 Speed on the column has been moved to the floor before i purchased the car. The car is a easy V 8 ready to be installed car. I do have a posi unit available for the car which can be purchased seperately. I do have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. I have a reserve price on the vehicle and am firm on my price. This car is too nice to just let go for a low price, yet i do wish to sell. Ask any questions and i will answer promptly. Thanks for looking!!!

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
GM execs fired over fraudulent India emissions testing
Mon, 29 Jul 2013General Motors hadn't had a recall in India since 1995. That changed when it was discovered that certain employees were playing tricks with local emissions testing in order to ensure passing grades for engines. More than ten GM Powertrain employees in India and the US have been let go over the ensuing emissions flap, including Sam Winegarden, VP of global engine engineering, a man who has been with the company since 1969, leading development of some marquee powerplants.
According to Automotive News, an internal investigation revealed that employees "violated testing procedures," sometimes swapping specially prepared low-emissions engines during testing regimes for the Chevrolet Tavera SUV equipped with the 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter engines. Employees were also manipulating weights in order to get vehicles placed into different emissions categories. The discovery has led to GM recall the 114,000 Taveras produced over an eight-year period and halting their production and sale.
The Economic Times of India reports that the issue is due to "a faulty component." GM has developed a solution to the issue, and once it is validated in testing and approved by the Indian authorities, the recalled vehicles will be fixed at dealers and production will resume.
GM profits threatened by glut of pickups
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
