Please look closely as you wont see one of these everyday!!!  I am selling my 1966 Nova Convertible--YES -- Convertible!!  This car was professionally done by a rod shop in Denver Colorado and is as nice as if they produced one by General Motors!!!  They took two very nice cars and made a convertible that drives as nice as if it was original!!   The 66-67 Novas are a very nice collector let alone restomod to a convertible!!  The car has original quarters and fenders and the doors close as if the car was new!  The car has frame ties and the cross beam to make the proper support that is needed to remove the hardtop from a very nice coupe car!!  As you can see all of the trim and mouldings are like new as well as the windshield and windshield framing!  And if that wasn't enough the car has factory A/C and Power Steering which was very rare on this year of Nova!  Them car is powered by a 350hp 327 and a 350 turbo trans followed by a 10 bolt rear end with 308 gears and a positraction!  The car has Weld wheels and like new tires and power disc brakes!!  The car has a brand new interior with bucket seats and new carpet. The convertible top is manual and has one small hole on the left rear next to the plastic window that was caused by the top framing before some padding was installed. The car has dual Dynamax mufflered exhaust and sounds very nice!!  This car drives and rides very well!!  Please look at the door and body lines as they tell the story as to how well the restoration and all of the modifications were done!!  I have owned this car for 9 years and have enjoyed every minute that i have driven it!!   The ONLY reason I am selling the car is we have purchased a home in "sunny" Arizona and can't take all of my collector cars with us--so it has to go!!    Happy bidding and if you have any questions please call!!   308-254-4377    Thanks    Hal

Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years

Fri, Feb 21 2014

Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up. GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.

Cadillac Celestiq, Lyriq, Hummer, other future GM electric cars: Here's everything we saw at ‘EV Day’

Wed, Mar 4 2020

WARREN, Mich. — Today, General Motors held an “EV Day” event at its Warren, Michigan, campus to present its new “Ultium” battery technology, modular electric vehicle architecture and soon-to-come electric vehicles. Unfortunately, we were forbidden from bringing cameras into the event, so while we canÂ’t show you what we saw, we can tell you more about it. While we saw the previously teased Cadillac EV (which we now know to be called the Lyriq) and the GMC Hummer pickup teased during the Super Bowl, there were a number of other future cars at the event, which GM President Mark Reuss assured us are all real vehicles in the works. The biggest surprise came at the end of the event, though, in the Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan, which Reuss described as a future flagship that would be hand-built “very locally.” It had been hiding under a dark sheet all morning, with the front and rear illuminated Cadillac emblems shining from underneath. When the wraps came off, we saw a long, white, four-seat fastback sedan. The 23-inch wheels were pushed out to the very corners of the car, giving it what appeared to be a very long wheelbase. The model on the stage had no side mirrors or visible door handles. The grille mirrored that of the Lyriq crossover next to it, with integrated lighting in lieu of the usual mesh or slats youÂ’d see in an internal combustion car. The entire roof, all the way until it tapered to the tail of the vehicle, was tinted glass. In back, vertical tail lighting ran down the C-pillar before turning rearward across the top of the trunk. Inside, everything below the beltline of the windows — essentially all but the headrests and top portion of the steering wheel, was hidden from view. Behind the Celestiq, a large digital display showed a rendering of its interior. The dash consists of a pillar-to-pillar curved LED display serving as both instrument panel and infotainment system. Protruding forward between the front seats was another touchscreen that appeared to house some more controls, with open area, probably for storage, below it. The rear seats had the same sort of touchscreen between them. Built into the back of the front seats were a pair of rear-seat entertainment screens, much like we saw in the Lyriq. The door panels blended wood, metal and animated lighting to give character and a sense of opulence. GM interior design manager Tristan Murphy was on hand to tell us a bit more about the Celestiq.
