Up for auction is a very very very nice 1966 Nova Wagon. The car is not 100% perfect but pretty darn close.

This wagon has had a ground up restoration that started in 2010, i built this car to drive, take to shows and cruises.
The paint and body on this car is absolutly perfect, interior is completely restored to basicly original and is all new. The engine compartment is clean and painted but not detailed to show car quality..i wanted to be able to drive but still be some what show quality. Under carriage is clean and painted but not to show room show car quality....

The car is basicly new from top to bottom , front to rear..i used all new reproduction parts or NOS quality parts.
Rear end was rebuilt, is a ford 9in , 410 gears and a eaton posi tract. Transmission was rebuilt and shifts as it should with a B&M shifter.

Motor is a 383 Stroker with 525 hp...is a brand new build with 58 miles on it...is a all forged motor with nothing but the best parts. Motor was built by a shop is AZ. that i have used many times for other cars.

Wagon has Factory AC thats work great, blows cold, power steering, power disc brakes and power windows.

All Glass in car except windshield which is original and in perfect shape has been replaced with colored match safety auto approved glass...makes a cool edition when u see in person. I had it custom made and was not cheap.

Wagon does have a Flaming Rivers front rack, tilt column and a custom steering wheel from them.
Custom made Sanderson headers for the rack. Has full exhaust with Flow Master mufflers.

I have owned this car since the 90's, has NEVER been raced or abused. Today i am in my 60's and i still love the sound of a true performance machine but after several surgeries it is time to start giving up the toys.

I hate to admit i have over 50k in receipts for the build, car was built buy professionals not a back yard mechanic.

I am open to trades but they must be from the 20's to the 50's and original no more hot rods i still have a few laying around..

As u might have notice i have perfect feedback and have been on here for 12 years. I have sold numerous classic cars on here with never a problem.

I do expect pay pal deposit with in 24 hrs and full amount before 7 days of auction.
Thanks so much for looking, any questions feel free to write.

There is so many things i have left out but the car is so much fun and very very nice.

Has 15x12 on rears and 15x6 on front..tires and wheels are all new, also Digital dash...

Meet the mother-daughter team that's worked on almost every Chevy Volt

Sun, May 11 2014

It's Mother's Day, and we're soft enough we love our mothers enough to share a new video from General Motors with you. In it, we meet Monique Watson (left) and Evetta Osbourne, a mother-daughter team that works at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly where GM makes the Chevy Volt (along with all of GM's other plug-in hybrids: the Opel Ampera, Holden Volt and Cadillac ELR). The two work side-by-side and have installed the lithium-ion battery pack on almost all of those vehicles - nearly 80,000 of them - since GM started making the pre-production Volts in 2009. In a prepared statement, Watson said that she likes working next to her mom, day in and day out, and they the two are totally in sync when it comes to putting the 400-pound, 16.5-kWh packs into the vehicle undersides. They two can also share stories throughout the day, and Watson said, "The arrangement has absolutely improved our relationship." Osborne started working at Detroit-Hamtramck in 1999, Watson since 2006. If you're driving a Volt today, you probably have them to thank for doing a bit of the work putting your car together. See a short video of them in action below. It's Always Mother's Day for Detroit-Hamtramck Duo Mother, daughter install lithium-ion battery pack in nearly all GM electric vehicles 2014-05-08 DETROIT – For Detroit resident Evetta Osborne, every day is Mother's Day. That's because she literally works side by side with her daughter, Monique Watson, at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. They have installed the lithium-ion battery pack on nearly every Chevrolet Volt, Opel Ampera, Holden Volt, and Cadillac ELR since production began. In fact, apart from vacation days and an occasional sick day, the mother-daughter duo has installed almost every battery pack since the Volt was in pre-production in 2009. The ELR launched earlier this year. All told – including Ampera – that's more than 80,000 electric vehicles. "We're a good team and our relationship is secondary when it comes to performing our jobs – but it's great to work alongside my daughter, said Osborne, a mother of five. Because the battery packs weigh more than 400 pounds each, automatic guided vehicles – robotic carts that use sensors to follow a path through the plant – deliver them just as the vehicle body structures glide into position overhead. The carts then lift the T-shaped packs, and Osborne and Watson guide them into the chassis and secure each one with 24 fasteners.

Bob Lutz says Tesla remains 'fringe' brand

Sun, Sep 28 2014

We've said it before, we'll said it again: Bob Lutz gives great quotes. From his toilet-themed opinion of global warming to Toyota's deity status, the man knows how to get your attention. His latest? Saying that Tesla Motors is and will remain a fringe brand. Take that, Tesla fanbois. This, of course, is the same fringe company that prompted Lutz and his former colleagues at General Motors to start working on the Chevy Volt around eight years ago. The same fringe company that has easily outsold the similarly priced (but don't call it a competitor) Cadillac ELR with its Model S. Lutz did clarify that the fringe status will only last until Tesla comes out with a mass-market electric vehicle that has a range of 200 to 300 miles. Lutz was on CNBC talking about the TSLA stock's recent performance, and he pointed out that even Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that the California automaker's stock is overvalued these days. Despite its prevalence around these parts, Tesla is not yet a household brand. But the company is working hard to get a cheaper, long-range EV to market in the not-too-distant future, so this fringe thing may not last much longer than that show Fringe did. Can DARPA hack into a Chevy Impala through OnStar?

Mon, Feb 9 2015

An ex-video game wizard named Dan Kaufman tracked a circuitous route to becoming the head of the Software Innovation Division at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. DARPA normally makes these pages because of its work with autonomous vehicles and automobile technology that overlaps with military applications, but for the past five years Kaufman and his multiple research teams have been working on creating unhackable software code that could be used in military drones. Part of that work has involved hacking into just about everything else, and as a segment on 60 Minutes reveals, that includes cars. The masterminds discovered a way to hack into OnStar, the General Motors telematics system. After figuring out how to hook into OnStar's emergency communication system, they overwhelmed it with data. While the computer was busy trying to manage the overrun of data, the research team inserted code that took control of the sedan's other computers, giving it control. So while reporter Leslie Stahl tooled around in a parking lot, a DARPA researcher with a laptop would occasionally take control of the car, like by applying its brakes or, conversely, removing the ability for Stahl to use the brakes. Hacking into vehicles has been in the news for years: Car and Driver ran a feature on the various ways cars could be hacked in 2011, two hackers released a car-hacking code at the hacker-fest Defcon in 2013 and demonstrated how it worked on a Toyota Prius and Ford Escape, and German researchers demonstrated how they could hack into BMW's Connected Drive remote-services system last week via an attack on the cars' telematics units. This isn't about GM or Onstar or the future; hacking into cars of all kinds isn't coming, it's here, and it doesn't take the half-billion-dollar annual budget of a small DARPA division to do it. Check out the 60 Minutes video on the CBS site (you can watch the entire video from a mobile device without logging in). The OnStar hacking starts at 6:45, but it's worth watching what leads up to that. News Source: Jalopnik Chevrolet Safety Technology Infotainment Autonomous Vehicles Videos Sedan hacking 60 minutes
