1965 Nova SS all original drive train, factory SS 230 6 cyl., automatic, buckets w/Console, car run and drives and stops just fine, I`d drive it anywhere as is, this car is un-restored and is all original with the exception of the seat upholstery (it is done nicely however w/velour inserts rather than the factory vinyl, it was don when I got it), car has new headlight bezels, dash trim and gauge bezel, rear cove trim, restored SS tide trim, and rear peak extenions, the SS trim and peak extenions were done by myself and are really nice driver quality, the car was originally,Cameo Beige VV color code and is now ermine white, the paint is a 10 footer although it does shine up really nice and looks great at 10 foot, it has 1 ding on the trunk lid and that is the only dent on the body, it has a crack in the paint on the pass side fender above the 230 emblem and a crack on the drivers side 1/4 panel below the gas filler opening (pics of these are on listing, the floors and trunk are solid as you`ll find, car does need some TLC, however it does run drive and show great as is very straight and solid, car was from central Oregon originally, purchased by a 55 YO lady and she had it until 1997 when her 65 year old son got it and it sat for several years in a Barn in Central and southern Oregon, I got it from a gentleman that had it and drove it some for 5-6 years in Southern Oregon,(Dry Climate) it has no rust issues other than some showing on the trunk lid where and old (I say old because the trunk seal now looks good) trunk seal rested on the bottom (underside) of the deck lid, other than that there is no rust I` have found on the car, the odometer states 98,5++ miles, I have no way to tell actual mileage and will not say it is original, the car is in good shape for its age, it has been painted twice since it left the factory and the door jambs at the hinge points could use painted, please email any questions before bidding, please do not bid if you are not serious about buying this nice little nova, if you are high bidder and win, I will help with shipping arrangements but costs are all incurred by winning bidder, payment is to be made by bank wire transfer with in 3 days of auction end and this is not my firdt rodeo, so I will not take any other payment method and $$ will be in US dollars and must clear my bank before car can be picked up for shipping, so please be advised of this, I WILL NOT BE SCAMMED SO SAVE YOUR SCAM JOBS FOREIGNERS !

C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
