I am listing this great classic Super Sport for a friend of mine. He has an extensive collection of really neat and cool vehicles and this is one of them. The Chevy II Nova was originally a California car that made its way to the southeast and the previous owner has had it approximately for over the last 25 years. The lady used it for her daily driver and had the vehicle restored 15 years ago. The Chevy II has been very well kept, as you can tell from the pictures and has never been abused. This car was her pride and joy. The Super Sport has its original 194ci. 6 cylinder engine that runs very good and the 2 speed Powerglide transmission that shifts as it should. The body is very straight with ALL of its factory panels and is rock solid with no rust outs anywhere. The right rear lower quarter has some very little tiny blisters that is very hard to see { look at the pictures } is the only thing that I can find on the car period. The paint is very nice and the aluminum trim is in very good condition also. The interior is in excellent original condition with very minor drivers side seat wear and the factory carpet should be replaced. The Chevy II features the original bucket seats, floor shift console, and factory gauges that were all a part of the Super Sport Package. Underneath the vehicle is in awesome condition with clean original floor pans, clean inner and outer rocker panels, clean uni-rails {front and back} and clean multi-leaf rear spring suspension. The wheels are original Crager SS that looks good and the tires are brand new. The owner has the original SS hubcaps and the original bumper jack is included in the sale too. The Chevy II runs and drives out good but there is two things that will need attention on the car. First the front brakes pulls to the left and will probably need a set of new shoes and second the heater core will need repair or replacement { it is seeping a little anti-freeze }.  This Super Sport is a very rare and hard to find vehicle is this condition and is a once in a life time find, so bid to win. This Chevy II has a clean clear title for the new owner. Please look at all the pictures and ask all questions and i'll get back to you. All items are sold as is, where is. Cash payment in hand, in person is expected within 7 days of auction close. Cash payment and pickup of vehicle is expected within 7 days of auction close. It is the buyers responsibilities to make all pickup arrangements for the vehicle. Please look at my feedback and bid with confidence, good luck and happy bidding, thanks.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Scroll down below for an official announcement from General Motors.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
