1963 Chevy Nova Ss Restoration Project No Rust California Car With Records on 2040-cars
Costa Mesa, California, United States
For Sale is a Beautiful 1963 Chevy II Nova SS No post. I have documentation from 1963 (manuals/booklets and information from the original owner. The vehicle Vin specs are white body with red interior and SS trim both side and upper of fenders. the vehicle has been stripped and media blasted and primed to protect the metal and there is No Rust or Bondo on the vehicle. the floor inside is original and trunk area with no rust at all and or the fire wall and body are also rust free. there is a few dime size holes from the blasting that are just above the rear wheel arch but I have new arches to be welded in (easy fix not an issue. there is a few minor dings and a small crease on one of the fenders but is an easy fix for any good body guy. The car also has the coveted rear wheel fender covers as well. The vehicle lines are straight as an arrow and it has all the original glass. the parts that were removed to media blast the vehicle are all there but the original front end, motor/transmission and wheels are not present. I have a new TCI front end with steering, brakes, shocks and sway bar. The TCI kit alone is 5K+ and has been powder-coated Matte Black. The TCI front end kit is also now on back order and has gone up in price since this one was purchased. I have also purchased but not installed or cut out for the rear end tub kit. there is no back fees for she is still registered til October 2014. the vehicle has 90-95K miles on the chassis. this is a very rare car for it is a true X Vin tagged SS Nova No Post. I have also had the TCI front end powder coated satin Black and I also purchase new engine bay side inner fender well kit to give it that real clean look under the hood. this vehicle is one that can easily be turned into a Barret Jackson quality Gem and others I have seen that are true SS Novas going for 40-70K and this could easily become one of those. you can restore her to her original glory or make her a true custom one of a kind of you choice IE: paint, interior, and mechanics something most people have already done to theirs.I have also purchased a new hood with 2" scoop purchased from Classic Industries in Huntington Beach, CA the leader in classic car parts. the seats are in good shape but the rear seat back has been stripped for it had rotted where it meets the rear deck lid and i was going to have the frame powder coated along with the front seats for i was going to convert the interior to black. windows, door handles and locks work when installed and for the most part the vehicle is complete. please let me know if you have any questions for I will be more than happy to answer them. Thanks, Gavin (Roverunion) (310)804-4334

GM files to trademark name Badlands
Mon, Feb 23 2015If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum
Fri, 02 May 2014Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
