Own Owner 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo on 2040-cars
Hartford, Wisconsin, United States
For sale is a beautiful one-owner 1970 Monte Carlo.
The car runs and drives and is currently registered. I have the title. It will not be difficult to re-title the vehicle. In the 1990's, it was professionally restored to original condition. It was green when it was new and green it still is. New paint. New sheet metal where needed (fenders, doors or door skins). Quality paint job and vinyl roof. After that, it was garage-kept and mainly went to car shows or was driven in parades. The paint job is beautiful - 350 cubic inch engine - 3 speed automatic - 106,xxx miles - Rear skirts and factory hub caps - Good looking chrome bumpers - Does NOT have factory air conditioning - cloth interior - runs and drives - clear title in hand There is a small repaired dent on the right front fender. Small rust bubble on one of the wheel skirts. You will turn heads everywhere you go in this car. Young people. Old people. Gen X-ers. It goes fast and is fun to drive. All of the lighting and instrumentation work as they should. Plenty of horse power. To the best of my knowledge, the engine and transmission are original and have not been replaced, rebuilt, or modified. My dad never mentioned doing any engine swap, rebuild, or modification. It is the 350 cu inch engine with 2 bbl carburetor. It has an after market 2-post AM/FM cassette radio. The original dash was not modified to install the radio. The original AM radio is also included. DISCLAIMER: Vehicle is sold "AS-IS". My personal knowledge of the vehicle is limited since I am selling it for the estate of my parents, though I am happy to answer any questions. |

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
