2006 Chevy Monte Carlo – LOW RESERVE of
$5999 – Strong 3.9L V6 Engine – 131K Miles – Many New Parts – For Questions/Info
Call Chris @ (812)-621-1274 Description: Great car – runs and drives
well. I am selling because I want to get a small, four-door vehicle,
otherwise I would keep it. I am the second owner; traded in my
previous vehicle for this Monte Carlo during 2009. Never
wrecked. All maintenance receipts available upon
request. Car comes with lots of new parts which just need installed
(see description/pictures below). The Good: New spark plugs in
2013. Transmission rebuilt in 2013 by Edwards Transmission in
Indianapolis, IN. Tires are at 60%-70%. Automatic start
installed and works great. Power windows, power locks and power
front driver’s seat work great. AM/FM/CD player sounds awesome. Tinted
windows look great. Steering wheel radio controls work
well. Cruise control works great. Adjustable steering
wheel. Spare tire and jack included. The Bad: ABS and Traction Control idiot lights
recently came on; however, both ABS and Traction Control do work fine to my
knowledge – I do not notice any difference in performance and it tracks and
drives great. At my last service my mechanic said that in the near
future it will need new wheel bearings and new tie rods on front. Some
surface rust around wheels on the quarter panels (see
pictures). Small dent on driver’s side (see picture). Oil
pan gasket currently leaks, however I am including a new oil pan gasket with
the car (see picture), it just needs installed. Needs a break job;
however, new rotors are included (see picture) all that is needed is
installation. Right muffler has already been replaced due to rust
hole, but left muffler needs replaced – a new muffler is included with purchase
(see picture) it just needs installed. Horn does not work. Payment/Transaction Info:
Will not accept bids from zero/poor
feedback bidders. Transaction must be completed within 7 days of auction’s end.
Payment via PayPal preferred. Cash or
check in person at a Chase bank in Indianapolis, IN during business hours for
verification also accepted. If traveling
by air to pick up the car I can pick you up from IND airport. |

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
Weekly Recap: Lincoln Continental serves up the style, Cadillac CT6 delivers the substance in New York
Sat, Apr 4 2015Lincoln and Cadillac grabbed the spotlight this week at the New York Auto Show in a dramatic fashion that evoked the brands' glory days. America's two luxury carmakers went toe-to-toe with their glittering reveals and plans for ambitious expansion. Both were selling their technology, style and the promise of a better future. Cadillac vs. Lincoln. At the Javits Center, 2015 seemed a lot like 1956. Neither company was interested in drawing comparisons with the other, which is fair, and accurate. They're in vastly different places in terms of sales and the pace of their turnarounds, but they hope to reach the same eventual destination at the pinnacle of the luxury-car world. Lincoln used the element of surprise to great effect with the Continental concept. A production version is still at least a year away, and the company was vague on details. Officially, we don't even know if it is front- or rear-wheel drive, though speculation abounds. Who cares? The seats can be adjusted 30 ways! The Continental also showed off a bold chrome grille that will be the new face of Lincoln. The blue bomber also rolled on blinged-out 21-inch polished aluminum wheels, used a 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine and had huge LED head lights with "laser-assisted" high beams. All of this resulted in almost blinding attention. The concept drew rave reviews, stirred controversy with Bentley designers who argued Lincoln ripped them off, and most importantly, pointed a way forward for the newly determined brand that hopes to compete with Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Cadillac and Lexus. View 32 Photos Meanwhile, Cadillac showed the CT6, a finished product that will top its range and is loaded with the best and latest technologies General Motors has at its disposal. With production starting late this year, Cadillac had more specifics at the ready. Engines? Cadillac has a couple V6s and a turbo four for sure. It's working on a hybrid, and has considered a V-Series variant. It's based on a new rear-wheel-drive, aluminum-intensive chassis called Omega, features an advanced collision-mitigation system with automatic braking and has a cabin that's laden with "leathers, exotic woods and carbon fiber." It will be assembled at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck factory and goes on sale next year. At this point, Cadillac is more than willing to talk about every except for the price. The devil was not in the details for Cadillac, as evidenced by the CT6. But it wasn't for Lincoln either.
