2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Ss Dale Earnhardt Signature Edition Coupe 2-door 3.8l on 2040-cars
Niagara Falls, New York, United States
2002 Monte Carlo SS Dale Earnhardt Signature Edition
Up for auction is a meticulously cared for car with only 53,315 miles on it that represents the Legend of Dale Earnhardt Sr and his Intimidation tactics on the WINSTON CUP Racing series tracks. The HIGHLIGHTS of this vehicle are that it has NEVER SEEN SNOW or SALT! This car has been a Fun Summer ride for the last (2) owners and myself. The 1st owner had this car until September 23, 2010 and sold it with only 10,392 miles on it. That is an average of 1,297.75 Miles a year! The 2nd owner only put 42,784 miles on it and owned the car until I purchased it on March 16, 2014 with only 53,176 miles on it which averaged out to 10,696 miles a yr. She also had the car undercoated every year which was OVER-KILL since she only drove it in the summer months only. I can provide ALL documentation on Both owners and the mileage statements. The car has fairly new tires and just got an oil change at 54,080 miles. The car has the 3800 SERIES II motor which is one of the BEST motors ever produced and with proper maintenance they will run for over 200K miles. Each of these cars were sold with a Certificate Of Authenticity which has the VIN number on it and shows which sequential number (2,965) car it was out of the 3,333 produced. The car also has a CLEAN CAR FAX (NO ACCIDENTS) and has a CLEAN TITLE. If you look at "COMPLETED AUCTIONS" on EBAY you will see that one of these cars in this PRISTINE CONDITION just SOLD for $13.045.00. It is getting harder to find these cars in this condition as there where only 3,333 produced and most people bought them and drove them year round as they where Die Hard Dale Earnhardt fans and just enjoyed driving and showing them off. Only a few of us used them sparingly and used them as pleasure rides for nice weather driving only. In my opinion, Every can has it's flaws. The flaws on this car are in a couple spots the Red Ribbon tape that runs just above the ground appearance package has a couple spots where the Red tape has started to peel. If I was keeping the car, I would have it all removed and redone with paint by a pinstriper. Other than that, the car looks SHOWROOM WORTHY. The engine compartment is extremely clean, the interior shows No ware, the rugs and floor mats are also near perfect. Bid with confidence on this car or order a personal inspection of the car. The car averages 22.5 MPG in the city and get's 29.8 MPG on the highway. Very comfortable, and you have to watch your speed as the car feels like you are sitting still it rides so nice. I would be happy to answer any questions anybody has or email more specific pictures I didn't list upon request's. |

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
