I bought this car as a project for my son and I to work on. The list of problems grew and he just wanted a driver, so I will be looking to sell. For those looking to make a 3rd generation Monte Carlo SS the way they want it, I have for sale a nice original Monte Carlo SS that needs an engine. The car does run, but engine is bad, knocking badly, starts, idles and runs like it did new, original 305 carburated . Was stored in the Illinois area for two years before I purchased it. It had issues, but I took it to a shop and had dents fixed and a few other spots fixed and had the car painted the original White for this model, and put the SS stripe kit on. This car has the original everything on it, the T-Tops are Creative Custom's. I had to replace the windshield, radiator, water pump, a couple of belts, new wires and plugs, and the reason motor was bad where it had sat, the oil return holes in the heads plugged up and the engine starved for oil, result, bad engine now. This is a White with Maroon interior car, console bucket seats. All options on car including under hood light  and trunk opener and light. The radio has been replace with an after market Pioneer, that plays. The transmission shifts great as it should and I believe it to have been recently overhauled. I bought this car as a project for my son, but it just keeps having issues I can't fix anymore, getting older, and no place and equipment to do the work. I worked in auto dealers and garages for awhile. These car always needed a 350 engine or larger in it to make it the Muscle car Chevrolet should have built, now is the opportunity and chance to make it one. If you have an engine, I have the car. I am only trying to recoup part of my expenses on this knowing I'll never get what I've put in it. Please don't bid unless you are serious, and like I said, it needs an engine so you will have to make arrangement to pick it up when funds are paid in full.  I have the clear title in hand, no, I can sell this myself thank you, and if I don't, I'll get around to making it into my ride. I live in Ravenswood WV 26164, so you can figure the distance to travel. I also reserve the right to remove listing if sold locally. Last of the great Monte Carlos that were considered muscle cars.

2016 Chevy Equinox brings its revised face to Chicago

Thu, Feb 12 2015

It's vital these days for automakers to keep up with the Jones' when in the crossover market. The segment is just too popular among buyers to let a vehicle waste away, and Chevrolet is giving the 2016 Equinox a slight refresh at the Chicago Auto Show to hopefully keep people interested. In reality, though, the CUV isn't too much different beyond a tweaked face and some interior improvements. The exterior now boasts a revised front fascia with a chrome-accented grille and projector beam headlights, and at the rear there are new taillights. Top -evel models get LED running lights, as well. Inside, the Equinox features a standard seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a backup cam, and for added safety, the CUV is now available with rear cross traffic and blade zone alert on some trims. Beyond these updates, the powertrains carry over entirely from before with the choice between a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 3.6-liter V6. These refreshed 2016 models go on sale this fall. 2020 Chevy Trax and Buick Encore spied testing

Tue, Aug 14 2018

We just recently saw a little crossover SUV from General Motors being tested, and we weren't positive what brand it belonged to. We narrowed it down to Chevy or GMC, but we're feeling more confident that it's a GMC now, since both the next generation Chevy Trax and Buick Encore subcompact crossover SUVs have been spied testing together. Of the two, the Chevy has the more radically different sheet metal. It ditches the somewhat frumpy, lumpy shape of the current Trax for a body inspired by the bigger Chevy Blazer. The roofline has sharp corners, and the hood is wide and flat. The front fascia, though obscured, shows the most connection to the bigger crossover. It has the same split headlight configuration, and it looks as though the grille takes up a sizable section of the fascia. View 7 Photos The Buick Encore on the other hand looks evolutionary in design. The body still has plenty of curves, and the distinctive, sharply rising window sill are all hallmarks of the current Encore design. The headlights and grille are similar, too, though the grille appears to be slightly updated to fit in with the Enclave and Regal. It's understandable that Buick might want to play it safe with the new Encore, since the model is Buick's best seller, selling about 23,000 units in the last quarter, nearly twice that of the next best performer, the Enclave. Since this is the first time we've seen these little crossovers, we expect it will still be a year or two before we get to see them fully revealed. They will probably continue to use small-displacement turbocharged four-cylinder engines with either front- or all-wheel drive. Related Video:
