1981 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau Coupe 2-door on 2040-cars
Pocasset, Massachusetts, United States
|
1981 Chevy Monte Carlo with 129,564 miles on the odometer. The 350 hp 350ci engine (from an early Camaro) has been recently rebuilt using high quality performance parts and it only has 10,000 miles on it. It has Wiseco pistons, Crane powermax cam, Edlebrock carburetor and Performer intake manifold. It has a set of reworked 882 heads and new valve springs and guides. The motor starts easily and idles nice and bumpy with the hi-lift cam, but runs smoothly as soon as you accelerate . I just installed brand new Headman headers with 3 inch pipes through a Flow master dual exhaust system. The transmission is a Turbo 400 with a B&M shift kit and 3500 RPM stall converter with a new B&M ratchet shifter on the floor. It is held in with a G-force transmission cross-member. There is a ten bolt positraction rear end with 3.73 gears. The car has a solid frame, good body, clean interior and recently passed Mass Inspection. There are a set of BF Goodrich radial T/A tires on old-school Cragar SS mags on the rear axles and some small Goodyear Eagles on Cragar SS wheels up front. This car is a great daily driver that can go on the strip on the weekends. This is perfect for someone who wants a clean, good looking muscle car, but can't afford 20 grand. I have a clear title and will deliver the car for a fee. |

Leveling kit now available for Chevy Colorado, but not yet for GMC Canyon
Thu, May 14 2020In various bits of news this year concerning the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups, we kept hearing about a front leveling kit. GM Authority found a few details in early order guides in January. In February, the kit came up in relation to the Canyon's AT4 Off-Road Performance Package, and again with AEV's upgraded Colorado Bison. After three months of waiting, GMA has more info. The kit eliminates the trucks' raked stance by raising the front by one inch, using an electro-coated upper spacer and a polyurethane lower spacer in order to maintain the proper suspension geometry. Installation is a bolt-on job with low-profile nuts, but the task will require a spring compressor. Fitted properly, the kit doesn't void GM's new vehicle warranty on the Colorado. Why do we only mention the Colorado? Because for some reason, the kit isn't available for the Canyon yet as a standalone component; the GMC stays raked without one of the aforementioned option packages. For Chevy, the leveling kit is compatible with any trim in four-wheel drive except the ZR2. It cannot be installed on two-wheel-drive trucks, nor any truck wearing wheels that are 20 inches or above. The kit is available now, ordered through any Chevy dealer for $150. There is a treat in store for GMC buyers, though, but it requires spending a lot more money. GM Authority discovered that the 2021 Yukon will offer the brand's first illuminated emblem. Priced at $475 as a dealer-installed option, a backlit glow will show off the GMC logo in the grille. The brand makes the logo in red and black, it's thought the red logo will get the nod, at least at first. Only the front logo earns the spotlight, not the one on the tailgate. GMA says the tchotchke will be available on all four trims when the new full-size crossover goes on sale in a few months.
Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
Here's the production Chevy Bolt
Tue, Dec 1 2015"It looks like a Volt had an evening of regrets with an i3." That's AutoblogGreen editor-in-chief Sebastian Blanco talking about the car you see here, the 2017 Chevy Bolt. Our trusty spy photographers caught the new Bolt EV fully uncovered at a photo shoot, ahead of its official debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. To say the styling looks familiar would be an understatement. There's a lot of Volt elements here, and the nod to the BMW i3 is definitely valid. It's not unattractive, it's just sort of, well, there. Never mind, the Bolt will have a lot going for it when it launches, should earlier rumors come to fruition. The hatchback is expected to have a 200-mile electric range, and should cost right around $30,000 after incentives. The Bolt will be built in Michigan, and will likely arrive at dealers in early 2017. Chevy knows this one's going to be huge, and the company is fully committed to launching and marketing the Bolt the right way. We'll have the full details in January at CES. For now, feast your eyes on His Boltness in the gallery above. Let us know what you think about it, in the Comments.
