1977 Monte Carlo- Rare Posi-track !! on 2040-cars
Canton, Massachusetts, United States
1977 Monte Carlo Posi-trac!!! This is one of those great cars where the original owner ordered all his toys. It has the RARE slick Posi-Trac rear end (with id tag) that makes it spit up gravel around the corners. It just feels cool driving in the LEATHER SWIVEL SEATS with the Shifter center console. In such a wide car, you won't have to stretch over to lower the passenger window, just use the power switch. Panasonic made the factory installed AM-FM Cassette system with fader-dual rear speakers. The factory sport gauges include, volts, fuel, fuel efficiency and true temperature. In the rear deck is a factory installed defroster heater-fan. The original owner had it factory undercoated. It comes with the original corvette sport wheels with original metal center hubs. The car has been re-painted , the vinyl top replaced and interior refreshed in the past. I have tuned it . It starts right up. The drivers' seat has been repaired. The cassette player and defroster need tlc. I have a ball driving around in this car and hate to see it go. There are no implied warranties with this car. Buyers with negative ratings or less than 5 purchases must contact and converse with me first or I will delete the bid. GM files to trademark name Badlands
Mon, Feb 23 2015If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
