Hello everyone, this is painful for me but here goes.

NO RESERVE, STARTING PRICE IS THE RESERVE.....IF ONLY ONE PERSON BIDS, ITS GONE.

This is a 1972 Chevrolet MonteCarlo which I named Delilah .  The paint is blue on the sides and black over the top to include the hood, roof and trunk.  There are some rust spots on the body to include the driver door bottom area, the left quarter panel by the door, the right rear quarter panel under bondo, the lower left and right areas of the rear window, the rain gutter for the trunk, the trunk pan which needs replaced (could not upload picture for trunk pan but expect center piece needing replaced).

The interior is good, but is starting to spread on stitching on certain areas(not noticeable).  The carpet is great,  The dash (Green color) is unsecured, light switch works but unsecured due to broken plastic.  Ceiling is good no rips or tears.

The ignition is still original with an added push button start,  electric kill switch  for car,  Electric fuel pump with switch.  Rear have air shocks that hold air, dual exhaust with nice sound not loud.

The car was in my garage and only driven about 1 time every three months around the block.  It needs an oil change and better gas.  Currently parked outside.

The motor is a newer model (possibly early 90's) Chevrolet 350 which runs very good (milage unknown).  The transmission is a 400 which leaks oil when I leave it parked, but runs strong  The carb is a 750 double pumper holley.  New radiator with one electric fan.  The car runs so cool half the time I doesn't even need the fan.
The car could use tires, ball joints.  The brakes work but need bleeding or master cylinder???  The front wheel wells are plastic but has the right one partly broken.  The A/C is not hooked up but it does have the newer style compressor sitting on the motor.

There are things that are not easily described that can only be seen in person.  I hope that I mentioned key topics that would otherwise surprise you if not mentioned.  The rest should be only positive aspects of my car which can be viewed in the pictures.  Just remember this car is an old muscle car looking for a new home that needs someone with the time and money it deserves.

I wouldn't take this car on a road trip, mainly because of tires and ball joints.  Could it make a trip the way it is??? who knows, I've done worst with no problems.  The last time this car was on the road for sure as a daily driver was in 2008.

If you have any questions, just email me or call/text 956 537 9781 and ask for Rafael.

Payment is accepted in cash only. A deposit of a non refundable 200.00 should be transferred via Paypal as soon as the auction is over.  I could deliver within Texas for a fee mainly to cover gas expenses.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
