You are looking at a true survivor. This is a great original condition two owner car that has always been in the same family. A father to son situation. The paint is not original, but is the original color and as you can tell by the pictures, it was done very well. This was not a cheap respray. There is no bondo on this car. The car is very drivable and would make an excellent weekend or daily driver as is. If you chose to make it a show car it would be an easy restoration. The only known defects are as follows...
- The dash clock is not currently functional
- There are a few dings along the passenger side of the body (I did the best I could to show those in the pics)
- This is a factory AC car, but the system could use charging. It's not blowing as cold as it should (but since it's February, it wasn't a priority at the moment)
I would consider this excellent considering it is a 42 year old vehicle!
This car started out as a CO car, but spent most of it's life as a Florida car. The pictures pretty much tell the story. My loss of storage space is your gain! Someone is going to get an amazing deal on this car!!!
The car is also available locally through several other sources of media and I reserve the right to end the auction at any point. If you are serious about it, I would highly suggest the buy it now, this car will get a lot of activity and if I get a good local offer it's gone, since I could use the space!
Terms:
A non refundable deposit will be due within 24 hours of the end of the auction through Paypal, unless you are local and paying in cash. The remainder of the payment will need to be made either by cash in person if you are local or coming in to pick it up, or by check drawn on a bank where there is a reasonably local branch where I can cash the check and have cash in hand before it leaves my property or goes on a truck. I have also used Escrow.com in the past and would be willing to consider that option and split the escrow fee (which is minimal)
Please serious inquiries only. Please only bid if you have your funds available. I am not willing to hold the car.
If you need a ride from the airport to pick it up, I can probably help with that. If you need to ship the car, I can refer you to some carriers that I've used successfully in the past. Shipping would of course be at your expense, but I am willing to do everything possible to facillitate the delivery.
Please ask any questions prior to bidding. If you want to make an offer, I'm always willing to listen to reasonable offers. The worst I can say is no, so don't be shy.
Title is in hand.
Check my feedback, it's all good.
Thanks for looking. Good luck and happy bidding!!!

China's rise, global restructuring wither GM's Korea division
Wed, Jan 7 2015An article in the Daily Kanban suggests the sun is setting on GM Korea, and it could already be well into dusk. GM Korea came about when General Motors, along with co-investors SAIC and Suzuki, bought Daewoo Motors from parent company Daewoo Group in 2001; it had a previous tie-up with GM, a joint venture that ended in 1992, although Daewoo cars were based on GM cars until 1996. Over the decade following the purchase, it became such an important part of operations that it was renamed GM Korea in 2011, "to reflect its heightened status in [the] global operations of GM." Just two years later, the printed rumors were that the subsidiary responsible for a fifth of Chevrolet's global production could be shutting down. The division's sales were down almost 21 percent through November of last year, counting domestic South Korean sales, exports, and CKD – Complete Knock Down – products. That makes the labor strife, already an issue for four years, even more acute, reports say the subsidiary will lose $36 million a year if it can't get the job and wage cuts it wants, and government concessions can't make up for the losses. And it gets worse, so head over to Daily Kanban to read the rest of the story.
NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022
Thu, Mar 17 2016The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
LG Chem's troubled Chevy Volt battery plant hiring once again
Thu, Sep 25 2014The Michigan battery plant known for paying its workers to do nothing has turned things around and is now hiring more workers, specifically to do something. South Korea-based LG Chem, which runs the factory to supply the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in vehicle with its lithium-ion batteries, held a job fair recently to bring on 40 new employees in order to meet higher battery demand, according to WZZM, the ABC affiliate for Grand Rapids, MI. The LG Chem factory is in Holland, MI, about 30 miles west of Grand Rapids, and it made its first batteries last year. Prior to that, though, the factory gained notoriety after a US Department of Energy (DOE) probe found that workers there were getting paid to do, well, nothing. That's because demand for the battery packs was so low that it cost less for the plant to sit idle. The DOE was conducting the probe because of its financial grant to LG Chem. But that was then and today is today. LG Chem is looking to ramp up production in advance of the second-generation Volt. That 2016 model-year version is said to have a longer all-electric range and better performance and will ride on a new chassis, but few official details have surfaced. We will know more when we get our first look at the car at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
