1976 Chevy Malibu Classic Landau Coupe The first Malibu was a subseries of the mid-sized Chevelle first introduced in 1964. The Malibu was redesigned for the 1973 model year and were available in a full range of body styles including a four-door sedan, a two-door Sport Coupe hardtop, a convertible and a two-seat station wagon. In 1974 the Malibu became the entry-level Chevelle and the top of the line Laguna trim package was replaced with the Malibu Classic that had 4 square headlights. This particular example is a one owner car with 13,651 original miles. It is Mahogany Metallic in color with a Buckskin Landau top and interior. It is loaded with almost every option available including the 400ci 175hp V8, ice cold a/c, swivel bucket seats, cruise control, tilt steering, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, AM/FM push button stereo with 8 track player, rear window defroster, dual sport mirrors, an electric clock, roof drip and body side moldings as well as floor mats. Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
