Ogden, Utah, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear
Make: Chevrolet
Drive Type: rear
Model: Chevelle
Mileage: 79,400

1973 is the only year Chevy offered the SS package on a
wagon. This is a truly rare and unique piece of GM performance history. Very solid, high-optioned original condition. Runs and
drives. Excellent restoration candidate. Western car, manufactured in Fremont
CA, found in Idaho this year. Last known registration is 1994. To the best of my
knowledge this is a numbers matching LS4 454 engine, automatic transmission, 10-bolt
posi car showing 79,400 miles on the odometer. Factory options include: SS package, LS4 454 engine, tilt steering
wheel, air conditioning, 8-passenger seating, luggage carrier, power door
locks, power windows, rear window air deflector, trailering package, Turbine I
rims, power tailgate release, heavy duty brakes, deluxe bumpers, AM/FM/8-track,
rear speakers, coolant recovery bottle, clock, tinted windows. Exterior: Minor body rust (see pictures), minor body damage
(see pictures). Chamois paint is weathered. Most trim in good condition,
missing a few pieces. Frame is 100% solid. Underside is very good. Interior: Door panels and plastic trim are weathered but
restorable. Seats need recovering. Headliner has a hole. Carpet is weathered. Dash
is good except for a few cracks. Trim is Neutral color, Vinyl. Mechanical: Engine runs. Car moves under it’s own power. Transmission
is sluggish. All systems require service to be road worthy. One muffler has a
hole. Air conditioning compressor and associated components have been removed,
but are with the car. Overall, this car is a great opportunity to own a rare Chevelle
SS454 wagon. In my opinion this car is very original and complete and is worthy
of a full restoration. This auction may be end at anytime. Successful bidder must make $500 deposit through Paypal
within 24 hours. Balance of funds due at escrow attorney within 7 days, paid by

Body shop manager stole over $500,000 worth of government trucks and parts
Fri, Jan 27 2017The US Department of Justice announced yesterday that the manager of a collision and restoration business in Virginia admitted he helped misappropriate and sell vehicles and parts from the State Department. Specifically, he sold 12 Chevrolet Suburbans, a Hummer, and $7,500 worth of tires and wheels. He pled guilty to charges to commit theft of government property and wire fraud. He will likely see 18 to 20 months in prison, a fine of $4,000 to $40,000, and has already agreed to pay restitution of $416,020 and asset forfeiture of the same amount. According to the Department of Justice, the body shop manager, James Ratcliffe, worked with the owner of the business and a State Department official, both unnamed, to obtain the property. It started with the wheels and tires, which were delivered and sold on two occasions, one in 2011 and another in 2012. The trucks came later, and were sold throughout 2011 and 2013. Ratcliffe and the shop owner kept most of the profits, and shared some of the leftovers with the government official. In addition to the vehicles that were sold, the government official also gave Ratcliffe a pair of Suburbans for his own personal use. The Department of Justice estimated the total value of the SUVs at $96,400. In total, the group misappropriated $512,420 worth of property. Related Video:

Teslarati's Electric Jen talks about purchasing a Model S, being assured by both Tesla employees and the map of planned Supercharger sites that one would be built along an important route for her. With the construction being pushed back, it made visiting family tricky. "As if owning such a grand car isn't embarrassing enough, asking for a ride to drop off and pick up said car because you can't make it home without charging really made me feel awkward," she says. "You see, one single charging location can mean the world to some people," Jen adds. Read the whole article at Teslarati. Tesla once had considered creating mobile range extender trailers for the Model S. Elon Musk touched upon the abandoned idea during his visit to Paris. While Tesla ultimately dismissed the concept, Nomadic Power has taken the opportunity to hitch their product onto the Tesla brand. "We are delighted, that Tesla Motors' CEO Elon Musk is thinking about a concept like ours for even more extending the range of the Tesla models," says Nomadic Power's CEO Manfred Baumgaertner. He adds, "This confirms our approach to build a long distance mobility provider for all electric vehicles on the market." If you say so, Baumgaertner. When the batteries have degraded to the point that they're no longer suitable for use on the road, they still have a significant capacity that can be used for other purposes. Still useful for stationary storage, they can be used to support charging sites in order to allow for faster charging. The stationary batteries can charge slowly at the site, but then offer up the juice in a hurry when it's needed for a vehicle. Read more from Renault.
