This 1971 Chevrolet Malibu 2 DR Coupe has been set up as a SS clone. The creation is a powerful fun to drive good lookin’ car.

The 350 CID engine was rebuilt in 1998 and develops 350 hp. There are less than 10k miles on the rebuild. It is mated to a 4 speed trans with Hurst floor shifter and 12 bolt rear which was new in 1998. It is fueled by 2 4bbl carbs. This set up was completed just prior to the current owners purchase in 1998. He added the cowl induction hood for appearance only as it was not altered to function with the carb system. He also up-graded the interior to its present appearance in 2001.  It looks great with the dark green body.

The car has been garage kept since 1998. The oil has been changed every 2 -3,000 miles, the battery is one year old and all belts & hoses are in very good condition. An AM/FM radio with 2 rear mounted speakers was also installed by the current owner.

SS Ralleye wheels have new front tires and the rear tires still maintain about 60% tred. There is a 5th wheel to which a spare tire can be mounted.

The dash and steering wheel were repainted to match the saddle colored seats. The dash looks great the steering wheel paint has worn off substantially.

The Malibu doesn’t need a thing to get in and drive away. There are some minor dings and dents in the chrome trim.  The green paint with white stripes was also completed about 1998 and has some small chips and scratches in it. No rust or bubbling anywhere.

The hood flange flared out slightly on the left side causing about a 2 inch scrape on top of the fender.

No power options other than steering and brakes. No AC.

This baby looks and sounds great and has a fine road stance. It’s ready to run!Contact the Seller's Agent:

GMC Hummer EV SUV first drive, RIP Camaro, Ferrari Roma Spider | Autoblog Podcast # 773

Fri, Mar 24 2023

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by News Editor Joel Stocksdale. They start off with one of the week's biggest official news items — the impending death of the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro. On the subject of powerful American cars, they pivot to a teaser from Stellantis execs that there are big things ahead for its Dodge Charger SRT Daytona Banshee concept. From there, they look at Ferrari's new topless Roma and then get into Ford's multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle pivot. Speaking of expensive EVs, Joel just got back from driving the new GMC Hummer SUV. He also had the new F-150 Lightning Pro in his driveway, and that's followed by Greg's update on Autoblog's long-term Toyota Sienna.  Autoblog Podcast # 773 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown News Chevrolet Camaro production will officially end after 2024 model year Dodge CEO teases more to come from Charger SRT Daytona Banshee Ferrari Roma Spider returns a front-engined soft top to the lineup Ford Model e losing billions as it says EV unit should be seen as startup What we're driving Ford F-150 Lightning Pro 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 2023 Toyota Sienna Platinum AWD Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest. Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Wed, 28 Dec 2011

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
