1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Custom Station Wagon Barret Jackson on 2040-cars
Seaford, New York, United States
I have an older restoration 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu wagon. I won this car at the 2013 PALM BEACH BARRET JACKSON AUTO AUCTION (all paperwork will be included with sale). This was an original 327 small block wagon upgraded to a to a big block 454 V8 with a TH400 automatic and 4.11 axle ratio.
Aside from being an awesome cruiser, this is a rare find. Production finds only 14,788 Malibu V8 4-door wagons produced that 1968 model year out of a total of 464,669 Chevelles built in America. Set up for cruising with window tint, Candy Apple Red paint, cold factory air conditioning, Corvette rallys and new tires, modern sound system, Grant steering wheel and aftermarket gauges. This is a 6 seater wagon. There were a few issues with the car when I got it home. Since I've been in possession of the car I have: -Repaired head gaskets leak by replacing gaskets and cleaning cylinder heads -Replaced front and rear shock absorbers -Repaired directional signals and brake lights -Repaired rear automatic window -Removed interior panels and cleaned 40 years of filth -Flushed engine coolant system -Oil/Transmission fluid change -New Brake Shoes Please contact me with any questions, offers, etc... |

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]
Wed, Dec 3 2014Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website.
