Up for sale is my 1966 Chevelle Convertible. It is a fun to drive car with no major issues. I do not consider it a show car although it has won Best of Show this year. Body is lazer straight and the paint quality is a 9 out of 10. It does have a few rock pecks and it may have a scratch or two although I have not seen any. The clock isn't working in the center console and the original radio doesn't work. All lights, blinkers, horn, speedo, fuel gauges work fine. It has a power top that works great.  Installed a new Griffin aluminum radiator that keeps her cool during the hottest weather. Car is solid with new floor pans. Looks to me that all the exterior sheet metal is original. Interior is in great shape. Convertible top is in great shape. I have had the car a year and went to several car shows and went to Cruizin the Coast for a week in it. I have a 1969 Camaro convertible I want to finish is the reason I'm selling it otherwise I would keep it.

Paint is Marina Blue and is two years old.

Engine - 454 cu. in 4 bolt main with chrome valve covers Edelbrock intake, and new 770cfm Holley Ultra street carb. OEM exhaust manifolds, HEI distributer.

Transmission- 350 with stock converter

Rear end- 10 bolt 3.73 gears.

Power steering and Power front disc brakes.

New wheels and tires 20's on the rear and 18's on the front.

New convertible top boot (black)

New trunk mat and spare tire cover.

Has a new stereo with a 8" tube Power Bass amp. Also has an amp for the front speakers.

I would suggest to anyone to just come look at the car and decide for yourself. If you win the auction or hit "Buy it Now" and get here and don't like it I will refund your deposit and no negative feedback will be given. Just don't play games. Don't get here and try and reduce price,  You will be asked to leave!

I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally.

Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.

Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.

Valet mode captures joyride in red Corvette

Thu, Dec 18 2014

A man in California is among the first to catch a valet behaving badly in his 2015 Corvette using a controversial built-in recording feature. Dan Cowles told KTLA 5 when he bought his dream car, a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, he opted for the Performance Data Recorder. The Corvette PDR uses a high-definition camera mounted in the windshield header, a microphone in the cabin and a GPS receiver that record and track the sports car's movements and sounds. They work together to produce a video with telemetry overlay, so you can see acceleration rates, lap times and g-forces. The system can be customized to show extensive performance data, or simply video of your drive like a traditional dash cam. It also comes with Valet Mode, which locks the glove box, disables entertainment and records video. The audio recording feature ran afoul of several state's recording consent laws, but this video has no audio, indicating the fix may have been as easy as turning off the microphone. Cowles dropped off his hot red 'Vette with the valets at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa, CA. When he got his car back he checked the PDR and discovered footage of the valet taking a short, but intense, joyride in the garage. In the video, the valet finds a straightaway in a tiered parking garage and pushes the car to 50 miles per hour in five seconds before quickly stopping. He then parks the car without incident. The valet then gets out of the car and takes one more admiring look at the front. The valet company has yet to commented on the video, according to Fox News, but valets everywhere should be on notice; that little red Corvette you have your eye on may have its eyes on you.
