Red w/black vinyl interior, black top (w/ boot). This car is an ideal restoration candidate, but even as-is this car attracts attention wherever it goes. In fact, it won best project car at the Streetmasters X-mas Cruise and Toy Drive, 2001. It has a 12 bolt rear, turbo 350 tranny (I have the car's original power glide and it will be included with the car, if you want it), ps, pb, and power top. It runs great and has been garaged for past 12 years and driven around town several times a month. I bought the car (my dream car) 12 years ago with plans to restore it. Marriage, buying a home, and two kids put that dream on the back burner. Finally have decided to let it be someone else's dream. As you will see in the pictures, the passenger side had some damage on the rear quarter panel when I bought it. The previous owner slid it along a gas station pylon. I massaged it out and primered it but it would need more body work before repainting. I believe the quarter panel could be straightened by a professional but some may want to replace the quarter. The car does have some minor rust spots here and there- the floors are good, but the lower door and trunk area have a few spots. The interior is un-restored- driver's seat has a tear in seat bottom and carpet has greyed over time and has some wear spots. Aftermarket stereo in glove box and aftermarket speakers in door panel. Still has original stereo in dash (uncut). Car is located in San Diego (East County).

Chevy SS to get 1LE-like handling pack

Chevrolet engineers have more plans for the SS, but official approval stands between their wishes and our driving commands. After getting the no-cost option for a six-speed manual last year, Motor Trend reports that some company boffins want to throw the Camaro's track-focused 1LE package at it. On the Camaro that means the Performance Ride and Handling suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, and 20-inch wheels all around concerning the road-focused bits. MT says that a 1LE on the SS would shed the staggered tires for one size all around, and get new dampers and a new suspension tune. It wouldn't turn the SS into a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, but the SS could do even more with its 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet, hopefully without sacrificing too much of its plush road comfort in the process. It's said that a production example could be done in less than six months, but it sounds like the approval process will take longer. The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward.
