The car does need some restoration but is minimal.  Very solid all metal body with newer interior.  Drive train has all been replaced 5 years ago and includes: De-stroked 400 Chevy smallblock (400 block bored .060 over with 350 crank) with 10.5:1 compression forged pistons, aluminum heads, roller rockers, mid range cam, 4 barrel Holley Demon 750 double pumper carb on Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold.  Engine has ceramic coated headers.  Transmission is a TH400 transmission with a manual valve body and B&M shifter on floor.  Rear End is a 12 bolt with 4:10 gears. Wheels are 17" Coy torque thrust rims with low profile Fusion tires.

The car does need some restoration but has a very good foundation.  Some rust in the quarter panels and passenger fender has a dent on top front edge and side near passenger door. Small amount of rust in the rear floor pans and trunk floor. Headliner and carpet are faded but in good condition. Car is solid and can be restored with minimal effort or cost.

All the chrome on the car is in decent shape.  The deck lid chrome between tail lights has some pitting.  Missing driver fender wheelhouse chrome.  Have driver fender chrome but not installed.  CHEVROLET letters for hood are included but not installed.

Small pit in windsheild with 4" crack up from cowel panel.

I have tried to be very specific and honest about the condition of the vehicle.  If you have more questions or need more pictures, I will provide those.

I added pictures of the floor pans and trunk floor.  The trunk is rusted where the floor meets the wheelhouse on each side.  Trunk floor itself has surface rust with some pinholes.  The rear floor pan brace has rusted in several spots (see photos)

Also noticed that the blinker arm is broken.  The car has been stored in my shop for last 4 years and blinker was working previously.

A hybrid and electric Corvette, plus we drive the Ioniq 5 | Autoblog Podcast #728

Fri, May 6 2022

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. Zac drove the electric 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Greg drove the fire-breathing 2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo. The two dive deep into the relatively heavy news week by starting off with a discussion about the upcoming hybrid Corvette before chatting about what the electric Corvette might be like. They have a chat about the possibility of Porsche and Audi officially joining the Formula 1 field. Then, Greg and Zac get into some quick-hitting news to round out the segment by dissecting the updated Kia Soul (now without a turbo), the 30th Anniversary Edition Land Rover Defender and the new CEO at Aston Martin. Following the news and drive reviews, they rope in Senior Editor, Green John Beltz Snyder to give them a quick download of what went down at the first drive for the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. Finally, they reach into the mailbag and answer some questions from someone who is less than pleased about infotainment systems in some new cars. And lastly, the gang hears back from someone they helped out in a prior Spend My Money segment on the podcast. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

Camaro-based Trans Am SE Bandit Edition borrows Burt Reynolds

Tue, Mar 29 2016

For some reason, modifying modern Chevrolet Camaros into the lurching, reincarnated shells of the Pontiac brand is still a thing. If you're the perverse sort that likes this kind of thing, you should check out the latest product from the Trans Am Depot, which comes complete with an endorsement from the star of Smokey and the Bandit, Burt Reynolds. Yes, the new Trans Am SE Bandit Edition has been signed and endorsed by the man himself, but what's important here is not the signature on the dash, it's the bits of Camaro that have been modified. Aesthetically, that means a Bandit-and-Frog-approved set of T-tops, a front-opening hood with a very large, prominent shaker scoop, an equally large and prominent screaming chicken, and Trans Am-inspired front and rear fascias. And naturally, Burt Reynolds' signature adorns the dash. There are plenty of reminders in the cabin about this car's Hollywood inspiration, too. Bandit decals can be found on the front headrests and center console lid, there are chicken wings on the Camaro-spec plastic door inserts, and the black-and-tan color scheme matches nicely with the exterior look. And power? Well, Sheriff Buford T. Justice would have a lot more trouble keeping up with this Trans Am than he did with the original. The 7.4-liter LSX V8 has been paired with a 2.9-liter supercharger which is good for 840 horsepower. It's fast and loud, and even if you can't get behind the look (we can't), at least this Camaro-in-Trans Am's clothing can impress with its performance. The Bandit Edition is limited to just 77 units with prices starting around $115,000. You can check out the official video from Trans Am Depot, which comes with a decent helping of Burt Reynolds, up top. Related Video:
