This car is a piece of history. Part of one of the darkest days in America.
This is the history of this car as I have it.
Originally purchased by the city of New York Police Department on July 7 1998.
Sent to the impound lot at 53-13 58th St. Woodside New York where it was outfitted , marked and put into service as a SOD car (Special Operations Division) #9700.
It stayed in service as a traffic post in the area of the World Trade Center until December 2001.
It was then taking out of active service and turned over to the director of Unit, Department of City Wide Administration Services.
On June 2nd 2002 this car was leased to the Motion Picture Film Club of America completely equipped with all the light , sirens, computer and radar .
The car was refinished and its number was changed to #7720 which is designator as a prop car. The regular precinct number was changed to 11PCT as there is no 11th precinct.
It was used for NYPD Blue and Third Watch until 2006 when the shows were cancelled.
At that time it went back to the Director of City Wide Admin.
On 5/4/2009 this car was sold still equipped and marked to the Fort Pierce Florida PAL Program (Police Athletic Program) for use in Parades and 911 memorials.
On August 2 2012 I purchased the car from Ft. Pierce PAL .
This car is still fully equipped with the lights, sirens, computer , radar and all the markings still intact and working.
I have this car tagged and insured and a historic / collectors vehicle.
Car runs and drives good only problem I have had was had to buy a new battery and gas gauge is off.
Works but cannot let it go below quarter tank.
I have alot of paperwork that came with this car including the manual and info for the lights, sirens, radar and computer and the receipts for the maintenance .
This car is a great conversation piece and is truly a piece of history.
I drive the car to cars shows and 911 memorials.
The lights have to be covered when driving. And I have a cover for the lights that is included.
We had a story board of the history of the vehicle screen printed on the rear windows.
There are probably items that I missed about the car.
This car would be great and probably belongs in a museum.

Nissan Leaf makes it 19 in a row for record sales; Chevy Volt drops 21 percent
Wed, Oct 1 2014The Nissan Leaf continues its streak of "best month ever" sales with 2,881 EVs sold in September. Compared to the 1,953 sold in September 2013, that represents an increase of 47.5 percent and, as Nissan itself must be tired of saying by now, it marks yet another best month ever, same as last month and now the 19th in a row. Okay, sure, we know, Nissan will tout this run for as long as it can, but we're certainly expecting it each month, so if it ever doesn't happen, it'll be interesting to see how Nissan talks about it. Year-to-date, Leaf sales are up 35.7 percent compared to 2013. In any case, Nissan's director of EV marketing, Toby Perry, sent AutoblogGreen a statement that said, "Nissan Leaf owners have turned into some of our best marketers, and they jump at any opportunity to share their enthusiasm with friends and family. Take National Drive Electric Week – a grassroots celebration of all things EV and the perfect platform for LEAF owners to showcase the benefits of going electric. After celebrating with EV owners in more than 130 cities across the country, we saw a significant increase in Leaf showroom visits with midweek traffic just as heavy as what we see on the weekends." Year-to-date, Leaf sales are up 35.7 percent compared to 2013. Over on the Chevy Volt front, things aren't quite as rosy. After coming off a good August (the best sales month of 2014 by almost 500 units), Volt sales were down to 1,394, a decrease of 21.1 percent compared to September 2013. So far this year, Volt sales are down 13.2 percent year-over-year. It's kind of a stretch, but perhaps people are already waiting for the next-gen Volt, which will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January, to go on sale? Speaking of things we say every month, our in-depth round-up of US green car sales is in process and will be appearing soon. Until then, please discuss how these two long-standing plug-in champs are doing on the sales floor. Green Chevrolet Nissan Electric Hybrid PHEV ev sales hybrid sales
Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.
2018 Ford Expedition vs other big SUVs: How it compares on paper
Fri, Nov 10 2017With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. Traverse numbers are broadly applicable to the new Buick Enclave.
